They do not allow the use of mail order…
They do not allow the use of mail order pharmacy like Amazon Pharmacy. It’s like having no insurance at all.

Very bad experience with this insurance I have to pay hundreds of dollar out pocket and I only used it for laboratory testing, this is a complete shame and scam. My husband paid over 1k out of pocket for an X ray and it supposed to covered it and no counting the money for his laboratories😡

Absolutely abysmal coverage. My RX costs, doctors visit costs, labs, mammograms, urgent care visits have all went up - on a PPO and that’s IN network. Many of my existing doctors won’t take it. Went from an insurance company that charged only $20 per visits to paying over $140 for an office visit?? They have to pre approve all my meds including the daily meds I’ve been taking for over 20 years? They only do one month fills at a time so I’m out of my daily meds at the end of each month. I cannot wait until this year is over to switch to my own employer’s insurance. I’m just praying I don’t get sick or need surgery before then since I’ve been avoiding Dr visits due to the high cost. Logic says you’d actually want your insured to go to routine doctors visits and get checkups so you don’t have higher costs if they get really sick - seeing as how they don’t cover anything anyway, guess that doesn’t matter!! Employers who choose Blue Cross for their employees are sending a clear message - they don’t care about you, only about saving money!

Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico is denying my sister-in-law treatment for her melanoma. They don’t care if she dies. This is already a recurrence and she has 4 children. They are so unethical.

My wife was prescribed a GLP-1. With insurance, our cost would be $700 a month. If we pay out of pocket direct from the manufacturer with no insurance, our cost is $200 a month. No wonder why America hates health insurance companies..

I am on Medicare and chose the BC+BS Medicare PPO ($47/mo.) over the free plan because of the lower prescription deductible. It seems that it only covers tiers 3 - 5 prescriptions only. Even after meeting this deductible you have to pay $2100 for your prescriptions before they will cover them. They don't even cover pen needles needed to take insulin! Thanks for supporting those with limited incomes. I guess your CEO's salary is more important.

My pharmacy in Tucson has now for a couple of times refilled my Lantanaprost Opthalmic solution for only 42 days, but claimed and billed it to be a 90 day supply. I have to put 1 drop into one eye, which is ~0.05ml. The one bottle I received contains 2.5.ml, which is a 50 day supply. When I wanted to refill, I was told by the pharmacy that the insurance is denying the refill, and I have to wait a month for a refill. This is fraud by the pharmacy. I reported it to Blue Cross Blue Shield, but there was no interest in rectifying it. I talked to the pharmacist who was argumentative, I know when I am bullshitted. There is something very suspicious going on.

Your information regarding eyeglasses after cataract surgery is not very clear and every person you talk to gives you a different answer about your claim. After 5 months they finally deny our claim because we didn't go to a durable medical equipment provider who sells eyeglasses. Make this information very visible--not buried in the Explanation of Coverage in some fine print.
