Bought two replacement batteries ("Replace Leica M8 BLI-312") from them for my Leica camera. Price appeared to be good until I got to use them. After three uses they no longer charge sufficiently for taking photos. Batteries should not be allowed on the market, for they only wind up polluting garbage dumps. Rather than fight, I will avoid this firm in the future.

Deffective Battery
Last Wednesday I have received the Scooter Battery I had ordered. My first surprise was that the battery wasn't new. I went back to the web site, and althoough the battery shown on the picture (with manufacturer seals) is new, it wasn't written anywhere that is was new, I should have read more carrefully (It doesn't say anywhere it is used though). The add read that it came fully charged. From the green corrosion on the positive pole of the battery, I had my doubts that it came charged. I installed the battery Wednesday night and the battery wasn't charged. On Thursday I have use the charger (new) that I have bought with the battery. Charger works fine, but the battery doesn't charge at all. I have sent an email to Battery Mart on Friday morning, I didn't hear back yet. I will keep you up to date for you to know how they will resolve this issue.

Response from BatteryMart.comSep 29, 2011
The customer placed an order for a MAR-YT4B-BS battery and a ACC-XCITER charger. The customer contacted Battery Mart several times through email and phone with concerns the battery was used because it had scratches on the bottom of the battery and some sticky residue on top of the battery. We advised the customer Battery Mart does not sell used products and that all products are purchased new directly from the manufacturer.
The residue on top of the battery is from a foil seal the manufacturer puts on top of the battery to seal the acid fill ports and to prevent air from entering the battery. When the batteries are sold the foil seal is removed, the battery is filled, tested and shipped. Yes when we remove the foil seal it sometimes does leave a sticky residue on top of the battery, similar to peeling a sticker off an item. We do try and remove the sticky residue as best we can but this has no effect on battery performance.
The scratches on the bottom of the battery are caused from being inside the cardboard box and movement while in transit from overseas and internal handling while filling and testing the battery, nothing more. After reviewing the returned battery that was no major scratches or dents and appeared in brand new condition.
Regarding the corrosion on the battery terminal, after reviewing the returned battery it did have a very slight amount of corrosion at the bottom of one terminal but it was so slight it would not affect battery performance. We do make every effort to review all batteries for this but again it was such a slight amount it was simply missed.
The customer refused to accept the battery was new and didn’t want the battery. The only option we could offer was for him to return the battery and we would issue a refund for battery plus the original shipping on the order. As always, customers have 45 days to send back items there not happy with, however, Battery Mart is not responsible for the return shipping costs and this is listed on our site under the 45-day guarantee sign and our returns policy.
We have since received the battery back and the customer was issued a refund for the battery and the original shipping cost on 9-28-11. The customer was advised because the refund was already processed, should he still want another battery; a new order would have to be submitted.
The following statement is listed on our site under our returns policy, International Orders: BatteryMart.com is not responsible for return shipping costs for any orders outside of the US. Since the order shipped to Canada, we were not able to supply a return-shipping label.
We thank you for your comments.

RIPP OFFFFFFFFF
Batterymart.com sold me a new motorcycle battery, and it was DOA (dead on arrival). Their website claims that all batteries are "fully charged & tested" before they are shipped. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND them at all.. When I called they expected me to go through the trouble and expense of "having the battery tested with a voltage tester". THAT TAKES BALLS!!! Kevin B. Bad Battery
I bought a battery from their website for my motorcycle, it died a month later. I checked with my mechanic, turns out the battery was old. No wonder they had a good price. I called and they would not replace it. I don't recommend them.
