Girl, this is exactly what batana oil does!! That breakage slowdown is usually one of the first things people notice because the oil is so dense and fatt acid rich that it coats the strand and cuts down on the friction and snapping that happens with daily manipulation. It's not doing anything flashy at first, it's just quietly making your hair tougher so it stops falling out from wear and tear!!! Edges are a different story though, so don't stress if they're taking their time. That's follicle-level regrowth and hair typically only grows about half an inch a month even under good conditions. Batana can support the scalp environment those follicles are sitting in but it can't speed up the biology of hair growth itself - honestly that part just needs consistency and patience, usually a few months before you see real length. Keep doing what you're doing! Less breakage now means whatever new growth does come in actually gets to stick around instead of snapping off before it has a chance to show up. That's the real win most people miss it's not always about growing faster, it's about finally keeping what grows.
