Horrible experience. I paid for next day shipping and it arrived a day late. The items in the basket looked like they came from a Dollar General. The meats were disgusting. They substituted orange chutney with some disgusting berry syrup. Not sure what anyone is going to do with syrup with charcuterie. The worst part is I wrote customer service to complain and they referenced their terrible refund policy that basically protects them from providing anything you actually purchased or thought you were going to get. I wish I could give negative stars. This place is a total scam.

This company is a full on scam. Ordered beautifully decorated cookies for mother's day and they sent my mother store bought sugar cookies in plastic wrapping. They wouldn't even refund me. This is so shameless and shameful,.

Amended after the company's response: I DID provide photographic evidence of the damaged package with red wine coming out of it!! I WAS NOT asking the gift recipient to fish out the broken glass to take pictures - who does that?!! What a disgrace of a company - the WORST customer service I have ever experienced.... My original review: I ordered a gift basket from Connecticut Baskets for my son-in-law’s birthday—two bottles of red wine along with cheese and crackers and other goodies. What arrived was an absolute mess. The box was literally leaking red wine onto their driveway. I immediately contacted the company. They asked for photos, which I provided—clear images of the box sitting on the driveway with red wine coming out of it. Their response? They claimed that “based on the images provided, the contents appear to have been properly protected and remain intact for use.” Seriously? Red wine leaking out of the box is somehow “intact”? When I pushed back, they told me that wasn’t enough—they needed photos of broken glass. Let me be clear: this was a gift. It was already embarrassing enough that my son-in-law had to clean wine off his driveway. There was no way I was going to ask him to dig through a soaked box and send me pictures of shattered glass just to satisfy their ridiculous requirements. I asked to escalate the issue, and was told it wouldn’t matter—I’d get the same response. The representative sounded completely scripted, like a robot with zero ability (or willingness) to actually listen or use common sense. This is, without question, the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No accountability. No empathy. No effort to make things right. Clearly the packaging failed—otherwise wine wouldn’t be leaking out of the box—and yet they refused to take responsibility. Blaming policies over people is a terrible way to run a business. What should have been a simple birthday gift turned into an embarrassing, frustrating experience. Avoid this company.

This company is a total scam. Every review I write gets deleted. The reviews on their own page are clearly mostly fake. The gift basket we ordered as a gift (almost $200) was not even sent out for delivery until 6 days after it was due to be delivered. Every item in the "basket" was a substitute. Even the upgraded item we added was substituted for another item. The items in the "basket" were average grocery store items (Planters nuts and Fireball liquor) rather than the unique and very specific gourmet items listed in the description and shown in the picture. They refuse to do anything to make this right. I am embarrassed by what was sent to my MIL. I tried to leave a review on their website, Facebook, and Instagram and none of my reviews show up. If you look closely at the reviews on their web page, you will see a pattern of dates and writing styles that make it clear to me that they fill their own page with fake reviews. Their Facebook page only has 19 followers and I'm one of them. 19! My cat has more followers on Facebook.

Delivery was two weeks late. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift but it arrived after new year. Product received was very different from what was shown on their website. It was packaged poorly and chocolates was said to be in a book box, but was wrapped in plastic held together by a rubber band. I would not recommend.
