I am very disappointed with Baseus South Africa and the way this defective Baseus Eli Sport 1 matter has been handled. My wife and I have both had issues with Baseus products that had to go back. My Baseus Eli Sport 1 earbuds were confirmed defective and still under warranty, but the retailer, Gadget Time Cape Gate Mall, refuses to refund me and only wants to replace it with the exact same model. Wayne Assur from Gadget Time told me telephonically that this model is being removed from the market due to multiple issues. I therefore do not accept being forced to take the same product again. I contacted Baseus South Africa for assistance, but received no response. The matter has now gone to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, and there is still no proper resolution its been months. Based on my experience with the product, the retailer, and the lack of support from Baseus South Africa, I would not recommend Baseus products.

The worst cable ever

I purchased two Baseus PrimeTrip VD1 Pro Dash Cam Lithium Battery 4K+1080p units. Before sharing my experience, it's worth mentioning that one of them was installed in a 4th-generation Skoda Octavia. I cannot comment on the video quality yet, as I haven't had a reason to download and review any recordings so far. However, I am very disappointed with several other aspects of the product, which ultimately prevent me from recommending it. First of all, this model comes only with a 12V cigarette lighter power adapter. In the 4th-generation Octavia, the cigarette lighter socket is located in the trunk, which meant I had to route the camera's power cable all the way along the side of the vehicle to the rear. This is particularly frustrating considering the car has multiple USB-C ports conveniently located on the centre console between the driver and front passenger seats. I would also like to point out that the charger included with my unit does not allow the power cable to be detached, contrary to what is shown in the product photos and in images posted by another reviewer, Andrej K. The biggest issue, however, is that this dash cam completely drains the vehicle's battery if the car remains parked for just a few days. I went on a short holiday, and after five days I couldn't even unlock the car doors because the battery was fully discharged. I eventually managed to get into the vehicle and, with the help of a neighbour, jump-started it. A few days later, I took the car to an authorised Porsche service centre for a complete electrical system diagnostic. Their conclusion was that everything, including the battery, was functioning perfectly. Their recommendation was that this dash cam should not remain plugged in for more than 24 hours if the vehicle is going to stay parked. Unfortunately, that defeats one of the main reasons I bought this product in the first place. The product description advertises a "Hardwire-Free Solar Monitor for up to 14 days." I understand that the solar charging and internal battery support parking-mode recording only and not driving. However, the marketing clearly suggests that the camera can provide parking surveillance for up to 14 days thanks to its solar charging capabilities. In my real-world experience, this claim is far from accurate if the car battery is completely drained after only 2-3 days. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this product. P.S. The second camera was intended for a Hyundai Tucson, but it is still sitting unopened in its original packaging. After my experience with the first unit, I am reluctant to install it in another vehicle, especially one that is used less frequently.

I bought a Baseus Eli 2i Fit and it's just uncanny how many problems these earbuds have. They present several connection problems; they can only be turned on if you have the case with you; IPX5? Sure! they don't stop working when wet, but the quality of sound just plunges to death with a mere touch of sweat - it goes all metallic, loud, weird, and you cannot wear them anymore - and I'm just talking about a little bit of sweat, almost nothing! Because of the design, they offer zero noise cancelling, so forget about wearing them at the gym, mate! I regret having bought them, and I regret enough to not even consider buying another product from Baseus. All the problems I'm mentioning are basic design! I cannot believe a company that makes something like the Baseus Eli 2i Fit can make something good.

SCAM WARNING. They sell 'Cash' but instead fill your hangar with 20,000 crates in the worst location (LSIA). You can't even move your hangar because it's blocked by cargo. Their support is useless, they lie about 'random' purchases and refuse to fix their own mistakes. They promised cash on balance, but gave me weeks of boring missions. Don't buy here.
