Kind encouraging teachers and a curriculum to take you from point A to point B, plus actual speaking experience. If you want to study Spanish and have a little funding to throw at it, this is the way to go. I've tried a lot of ways.

BaseLang is a very organized, well-put-together operation for learning Spanish. Highly polished and effective and definitely worth it (if you are serious about learning Spanish)

All of the teachers are helpful and friendly

You pay a monthly fee and have as many classes as you want. That helps motivate to take classes every day. I've taken about an hour a day, and after 10 months, I can have conversations on just about any topic, I still make mistakes all the time, but I catch them, and I can follow most conversations around me and watch shows without subtitles. I wouldn't say I'm fluent, but without living abroad, this is the best way to learn a language in a useful way-

The teachers are kind patient and encouraging. They keep the lesson and discussions interesting. The core lessons have provided the structure my studying has been lacking. I am loving it and learning faster than I expected.

I've been using BaseLang for 10 months, which has made my Spanish learning journey more enjoyable and, most importantly, more efficient than other programs. I also love that you pay a set monthly fee for unlimited classes. Some months, I have taken up to 100 classes. When I started in January 2024, I could only manage short 1-5 minute conversations. Fast forward to today, I'm easily having 45-minute chats with minimal corrections! Although they offer sessions almost 24/7, I recommend you find 2 or 3 tutors whose teaching styles resonate with you and try to schedule regular sessions with them. Beyond BaseLang, incorporating Spanish into your daily routine through reading, music, and TV will further enhance your learning. Dedicate at least 30 minutes daily to BaseLang; consistency is key to progress. Last, trust the process and understand that it takes time to become fluent. BaseLang has been a game-changer in my language-learning journey, and I highly recommend it to anyone serious about becoming fluent in Spanish.

Skilled, friendly teachers and a terrifically well-worked out sequence of lessons, plus super integration with Brainscape flash cards. And once I learned to use it (when I did what seemed intuitively obvious and clicked on a certain time of day in the left hand margin, nothing happened unless I clicked on a particular DAY at that time), a great interface for scheduling lessons and Changing lesson schedules when I need to AND good people available to chat within I run into difficulty. Altogether a VERY well-designed learning program and platform.
