The coarse is limiting in its helpfulness
I liked the amount of material I had access to. I also enjoyed the outlines. Beyond that, the course was not helpful. The MBE explanations were lacking. I had better luck with Uworld and Adaptibar, which actually increased my understanding and scores. The essay explanations were limited in its helpfulness because of the strange way it was graded. I had better luck going to sample essays in my jurisdiction or NY and seeing what was actually graded well. Then I would check the Barbri outline for accuracy. The videos are not very useful. The only lectures I found helpful were contracts, corporations, and criminal. Adaptibar lectures were easier to digest, however, that was limiting itself. Perhaps lectures that mirror Adapitbar's digestibility but encapsulate all of Barbri's information is a good resolution. Because, I did not take Trust & Estates and Wills in law school, so the lectures did not ease me into the jargon and vocabulary well. I had to waste time and seek help from peers who did have that background or explanations in other secondary materials, such as the guides used for law students. Also, the timeliness given to us is unrealistic. I know this is a common complaint, but the overview and short guide reviews are useless. No one I knew paid mind to them. What would have been more helpful were those MBE review videos. Just more time allotted for MBE review. Finally, the essay construction assignments were so helpful. I wish I had more of that, but there were only like 2. That would have been a game changer.
