You guys need to do some engineering on your unit. The bar closest to the rotary needs to be removed. During my use, 3 out of every 5 nuts went flying out of the unit and back onto the ground. Perhaps you could put a curved HOOD on the unit to catch those escaping nuts and keep them in the basket.

Why am I reviewing your company before I receive any of the product. Just base it on the 3 minutes I was on your website? Seems pointless.

I borrowed and tried an older one and it was better than the single-roller type with wire bands (we own two of then) and a whole lot better than bending over; or on my knees like we did when I was a kid. We now have 39 pecan trees and needed something. The one I borrowed was a great step up from the single handle roll-a-rounds. When I saw the improvements made in the current model I ordered an 18". It was shipped quickly and arrived well packed and very easy to assemble the handle. It does pick up nearly everything including small twigs, leaves, and stems, as well as dog poop. But, cleaning that out at the table is a lot better than bending over or crawling around on my knees. To minimize that effort I set up a high-velocity floor fan on saw horses and slowly poured the pecans and trash through the blowing air. After three times we only had to pick out the ones with hulls and some of the cracked ones from the lawnmower. Used the mower to blow the leaves and sticks from under the tree. Very few were broken by the mower. Seemed like a lot of money but this year family will get a lot more pecans and they will say it was well worth the price. More importantly, I will not feel guilty that 300+ lbs of the big ones are lying out there rotting. My only issue is that your grandfather should have designed it 60 years ago an my father should have bought one.

I am using the 36" Baganut behind my electric golf cart to pick almonds after shaking trees second time. I will use this next year after theprofessional mechanical pick up to collect nuts that were left on the sides of the pick up swath. I would recommend making the basket net out of stainless steel with the same thickness as the plastic. I will buy another one with 54" width and SS net for the baskets.

The unit work fair after adding the ($40+$18shipping) weight adapters and $20 weights from Walmart. So that comes to a total of $587 plus tax. Adding the weight, I find I have to go over the same area many times to get most of the acorns. I plan on keeping the unit. I am hoping it will work better if I pick up acorns every week or two.

We have had a pull a long harvester for over 15 years and I recently ordered a maintenance kit to repair for the first time. We use the product for harvesting pecans. Customer service is always excellent!
