May 11 2023 After my dogs being on the BADLANDS RANCH DOG food, just lightly sprinkled over their (wild earth kibble food) my dogs within days started itching continually.. both dogs which indicates it had to be the food. My dogs do not have fleas, so I have taken them off of the food and see if the itching stops, and then I will know I’m not saying this is a bad dog food, but it wasn’t possibly good for my dogs. They love the flavor. They had no problem with it especially my yorkie with the flavor of it but the itching is uncontrollably. sad I will do more research on this food to make sure that it will be OK for my dogs in the future… thank you

I wish I had done better research before buying this food. Hopefully others have a better experience... Pros: My dogs loved the taste. It was easy to store and dish out at feeding time. Cons: It's expensive, but more importantly... After giving it to my dogs for a few months, they both developed health problems. My small dog became very sick, developing severe kidney problems and my large dog lost weight and had elevated liver values that she'd never had before. So I had to stop giving it to them... I needed to return my order with them since it's pricey and I can't use it now with my dogs on Rx food. That being said, my advice to new customers - beware that they do NOT have free return shipping. I spent about 20% of the amount of my return on shipping costs making sure I had a (recommended) tracking number. I regret purchasing this food.

My dog likes the food. Problem is it gives her horrible gas. It’s supposed to have probiotics in the food but I doubt it. I asked their customer service and they said ask the vet who said obviously it’s the food. I guess I’ll have to search for another food. As expensive as badlands is, it shouldn’t cause this much gas. It’s constant! This is all my pup eats and gas started about 2 weeks after switch. So disappointed. The company response was no help.

Price of one bag is ridiculous. I have two German Shepard which would take 3 bags a day to feed them $150 a day. Who can afford this’ unless your super rich!!

Well, I have been ordering this dogfood for about 4 months. My dog loves it! But now the negative. If you start your dog on this, and you want to keep them on it, they WILL NOT OR DO NOT get in a hurry to ship it. It literally took over 2 weeks just to start to ship it and then another week to get it. I tried to contact them, but they never respond! So, then you run out! And it is small, small bags that cost way too much!

The dogs love the food and it seems to be doing what you said it would do. My problem is I can’t get it after I ordered it on 11/28/2022.

I purchased 3 bags of the superior complete and 6 bags of the treats. When I was ready to reorder I stayed on the phone almost an hour waiting for someone to answer and no one ever did. After a few more times trying to reorder I finally got someone to answer and was told there was no more food available and it wouldn't be in until November. I was down to just a small amount and had to go out and purchase store bought canned food to feed both dogs. This is the second company that had this same issue and I have had to switch companies because of this. This is not good for my dogs digestive systems so these companies need to get it together to make sure the product is available. It's hard enough to find a good dog food without issues with product not being available when product is low. I'm still waiting for product to be available. There needs to be some telephone messages telling you about issues ordering so you don't have to hold up to one hour.

I mean it's good but the price is absolutely absurd. I have a Great Dane. It would cost $1400+ a month to feed her this. It's okay as a topper or a once in a while thing but even then...this is just a lot of money. I already spend hundreds of $ a month feeding her as it is. This food would almost triple the costs. And honestly while my girl of course eats it (she would eat literally anything) she doesn't get quite as excited about this as she does with certain other foods. I don't know...I just can't justify this. I love my dog but I don't even spend that much a month feeding my entire family. If I was a wealthy celebrity I'd buy this...most of us aren't though. Or maybe if I had a teacup Yorkie or something but for a 100+lb dog (145lb) this would never work. If they could find some way to lower the price lots more people would be interested. It's like human food though....unfortunately it's cheaper to eat a McDouble versus a good meal but we suffer down the road. :-( Disappointed. Been working on just making dog food from scratch at home. It's more work but much more affordable.
