I had ordered some product to try & received it my dogs seemed to like it ok however I felt the price was to high. I then received another order 3 weeks later that I did not sign up for however apparently I did when I placed the first order when I went to cancel & explain that I clearly was unaware I agreed to a monthly subscription somehow all they would do to correct it was give me a small discount or I would have to pay at my expense to send the product back. I am disappointed in myself in the sense I missed somehow the subscription however there ability to resolve this issue was in my view not acceptable. I would strongly advise to be very careful with there so called subscription it does not just mean a newsletter it means keeping your credit card on file & sending product out regularly. I found Badlands ranch to be be very deceptive.

Customer service is very inconsistent and the people working the chat function do not care. Placed an order which supposedly shipped on the 25th. Carrier website stated it was en route for processing. 5 days later, same status. Got in touch through the online chat and was told I would have to wait until it has been 7 days even though it is apparent that it never shipped. They dont seem to care to correct the issues. 2 days later I call again and after 10 to 15 minutes and my explaining multiple times the carrier states they do not have the package, they start the process of shipping a replacement. 3 days go by and finally the order is listed as shipped. I had subscribed but with the lack of customer service or even knowing if or when your order will ship, I will carry my business elsewhere. Also, on a seperate note, good luck just placing an order without page after page of selling you something else. Its kind of like when you purchase something online and it is page after page of today only, add this for this price. Next page, last chance, next page something else. Constant upsell. Great product, bad service and customer experience. Stay Clear of them.

If you have small dogs don’t fall for this food. I have 3 small dogs 5, 6 and 7 lbs and the food is way too hard for them to chew. I even tried to give it away and my 2 friends dogs would not even eat it. What a waist of money.

Web site says full refund on return of product. IT DOES NOT say either when you contact customer service or when they send instructions for return that you must send back empty package to get your return.

This was the most inconvienent and disturbing processes I have ever dealt with. Hoping to try a product at a lower cost. It started fine but when ordering it would not allow me to put in a shipping address, so the package was going to be sent to my billing address (in another state). The customer care person changes my shipping address and cancels my order. Told me she had to and that even my continuous orders would not go to the shipping address because I was paying with PayPal and it was a security thing. This whole thing made no sense at all, so in the end I don't get to try the food for my dog at a reduced rate because it was a onetime thing. On top of that I am unable to even create an account on the website. Worst experience ever and if this is the way one customer is treated it gives a bad taste for me to even think this company is a good company.

My dog won’t eat it. Poorly run company Website doesn’t work correctly. Push you into buying more. Make you pay to return for refund after being pushed to buy 3 more bags.

BUYER BEWARE: Terrible return policy & zero support! Badlands Ranch seriously let me down. I ordered six bags of their beef formula..smelled great, looked promising, but my dog wouldn’t even touch it! I tried for two full days with different tricks, and he outright refused to eat it. So I called customer support hoping to return the unopened bags and get my money back. And guess what? That “100% money-back guarantee” they boast about? It’s a joke. You have to pay for return shipping out of pocket, and there’s no clear process…just figure it out yourself and send a heavy box to some mystery warehouse. No prepaid label. No guidance. Just figure it out on your own. This was hands down the most inconvenient and frustrating experience I’ve had with any pet company. Their flashy ads lure you in, but once they’ve got your money? You’re on your own. No real help. No accountability. If your dog is picky or you’re hoping for responsive customer care, stay far away. I feel tricked, ignored, and frankly furious at how little they care after the sale. Badlands Ranch, you need to fix this. Streamline your return process. Respect your customers. Otherwise, you’re just selling hype.

Dogs liked the food. However, every single month there was some issue with billing - received emails stating payment did not go through. I would check and there was nothing wrong with my form of payment. I was told the email was sent in error. But, in the meantime, I had reluctantly given a different form of payment and got charged twice for the same order (once on each payment source). I called and they refunded the $. However, we cancelled because we do not have time to constantly be calling and dealing with this. Subscriptions are meant to be convenient. It is sad because Badlands Ranch is incompetent. A good product won't cure that.
