All in all pretty good service my only gripe would be that USPS left the package clearly labeled “perishable” in the middle of my sidewalk in the hot sun. Luckily my roommate got home not to long after and was able to take it inside and put it in the fridge.

Item was delivered after the date expected. When dealing with perishable items, it’s important that you get them before they spoil.

Hi Mr. Hester, Sorry to hear your order was received a day late. We primarily use USPS priority mail for shipping. Although it is not guaranteed for a delivery date, it is normally quite reliable and by far the most cost effective way to deliver orders. The good news is the Boss Hog Super thick Hickory Smoked Bacon you ordered is dry cured and shelf stable 90 days. The bacon you received should be in excellent shape with one day delivery delay. Just okay.... It wasn't clear when he received it, what it was. My Happy Valentine's note was on the packing slip in a font that you needed a magnifying glass to read. I was so excited about BACON OF THE MONTH CLUB, but he had no clue.... just thought he got some bacon and a shirt in the mail..... No surprise.....

Yes, our Bacon of the Month Clubs initially only come with 2 packs of bacon and a free tshirt and 2 packs of bacon each consecutive month you have chosen. We now have 2 new clubs Bonus and King Size which come either with an extra pack of bacon each month or sausage. We only include a packing slip that states what you ordered without any prices to keep it discreet. We apologize if our packing slips aren't clear enough to understand what was received. For delivery they have a 3 day flat rate. However, they are in CA and I am in FL. The first shipment took 4 days and the 1 ice pack was melted and hot. The second shipment took 3 days and the 1 ice pack was cool but not cold. My recommendation is anything over a 3 day flat rate should at least have 2 ice packs so this will save the company money on replacements, or at least offer 2 day flat rate for an additional fee. I know I would be willing to pay more to know my bacon is not tainted. I would have give 5 stars had my replacement been cold!

You're most definitely right. Our Florida packages should be going out with 2 ice packs. Florida is our toughest market. Some make it in 2 days with everything in tact and some make it in 3 to 4 days. I will make sure to pack and send the next one accordingly. Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. When we received the items the ice pack was melted and bacon was not chilled. We put in fridge right away. I could not find an email for customer service to ask if the bacon was ok to rechill.

Hi Lisa, You did the right thing putting bacon in fridge right away. The products sent are dry-cured and will withstand the transit time. As for for an email or phone number, I apologize, our packing slip is new compared to previous ones. I will get that corrected. I am very happy with the bacon but on the next order I will want to make sure it doesn't arrive on Saturday or Sunday when the Post Office is closed.

When the package arrived the box was torn, ice packs were thawed and one package had lost its vacuum seal.

We use USPS for the majority of our shipments as they normally provide the quickest most cost effective service to fulfill our orders. Obviously this did not occur in your case and I can see why you would be unhappy. Please advise which items were received without the vacuum seal or arrived warm.
