I was worried about buying perishable food online but I figured since it is dry cured it should be safer than ordering raw meat. I purchased two 2‐pound, unsliced slabs of Boss Hog Hickory smoked bacon. It arrived safely and well packed with cold packs that were still cold when it arrived. No issues. I cooked some of the bacon by cutting my own thickness of slices and it turned out great! Very smoky flavor! I compared it to my usual store bought thick sliced bacon which is also very good. The Boss Hog has more smoke and is less salty. It is more balanced. It cooks very nicely and is not wet and slimy like wet cured bacon from the store. This dry cured bacon is a please to work with. I will order more when I run out. I am a happy customer.
