They are applying to change their name right now to backwater scumbags. .Do not use this company. They will sell you sick reptiles. And do nothing to help you. You will be out your money. Spent a 150 bucks on a iguana. 2 weeks later died showed symptoms of sickness from day one. There are so many other great reptile online stores. XYZ AND LLL Are fantastic. Backwater scumbags is a SCAM.

I ordered a female Green Anole and I got a male Green Anole. You can't put two males together because they fight. I brought this to their attention and they said we can't guarantee the sex although we try. Then why give the option to choose between a male and a female? This is a professional breeder/carrier of animals and they can't tell a male from a female? I have been exposed to the Green Anole by accident about four weeks ago ( A wild one took up with my daughter for some reason) and I can tell a male from a female. So why can't they? Especially with having a more experienced eye. This is not acceptable. What am I suppose to do with the male now?

Horrible customer service, very rude, condescending and very unhelpful! First and last time buyer. Was trying to order a reptile, but they needed pictures of your license, credit card, utility bill...shocked they didn't ask for my W-2s while they was at it. Needless to say I canceled the order, just wasn't worth it at that point. Didn't have issues with buying from anyone else, not sure why this company made it so difficult.

We have not had one positive outcome after purchasing animals from this company. Most animals died within two weeks after receiving them, and all had mites... LESSON (SADLY) LEARNED! We purchased animals from vendors from Morph Market who sold ONLY captive breed animals and had stellar reviews to replace those who died from Backwater Reptiles. All the animals we purchased from vendors off Morph Market's website were healthy, active, fed well, and mite-free! I would recommend you heed the negative reviews about Backwater reptiles and look elsewhere!
