WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Customer service is a joke. They are rude and unprofessional. Paid for overnight shipping they charged my card Wednesday and didn’t send anything out till the next Monday. And they animals they charged me for were out of stock. WORST WEBSITE TO BUY FROM.

Very rude customer service reps, ordered 2 frogs that died in 3 days had to pay another $25 to get replacements that showed up dead on arrival and they then wanted a pic of all 4 frogs dead together so I would have had to hold onto the first two dead frogs for over a week and now they won't do anything about it. VERY POOR!

Just by got scammed I ordered 2 frogs and only received 1and I email them and they said they couldn't do anything

I’ve been waiting for almost a week now for two turtles that I ordered and still nothing. Not a single update nor tracking number. Very disappointed in the service they gave and would like my money back.

I place an order for 6 tree frogs and all but 1 came in dead. They said that it was “rare for DOA” and wanted to try the order again. I received another dead one in the replacement order and when I tried to send the photo for a refund they claimed I needed the dead frogs from 8 days ago to be included in the photo. I had disposed of those frogs after contacting them with pictures from the first time, as they started to smell. If they would’ve asked me to hold onto the first order of frogs I would’ve but I had no idea that it is “protocol”. Really upset, do not recommend.

Upon receiving my first order from backwater reptiles I was very very disappointed. I ordered crickets and upon arrival over half of them where dead! When I emailed the company they wanted photographic evidence that over half were in fact dead. So I did so. After that I was then told that they account for 20% of them to die off so they send an extra 20% in the order, and that if crickets temperatures drop they have to come back to room temperature 3-4 hours after arrival. Mind you I emailed them 24 hours after my shipment was delivered. I am very upset with this company and how they handle dead feeder insects incidents. I can understand completely loosing 100 in transit even a little bit more but not over half of your order then to just jump through hoops to “prove” that your feeder insects were actually dead. I will never be using this company again and I personally would recommend using a different company if you want to buy feeder insects in bulk.

They say dead on arrival never happens twice. That’s bc they won’t send you a second animal. They just take your money. It’s inhumane and I feel like part of the problem for trusting these big fat liars. I hope an animal rights group shuts them down.

Absolute garbage company. Tells you multiple lies on its web page. Do not believe anything. They lied to me and stole $500. These people are not reasonable like they state. Buy anywhere else but here.
