I bought 2 heartbeat dopplers for Christmas gifts for my newly pregnant daughters. One of my girls had not heard her babies heart beat at the doctor yet but was able to hear it for the first time on Christmas. The best Christmas gifts ever! The product worked perfect! I highly recommend!

We use this doppler once a week to hear our little girl's heart beat. This is helping us get through those early weeks where there is so much uncertainty but no ultrasounds to confirm she is still doing okay. We first received it when my wife was 12 weeks pregnant and she was able to successfully find the fetal heart beat and distinguish it from her own "swoosh, swoosh" heart beat. She did struggle at first but then emptied her bladder, elevated her hips and positioned the probe lower towards her pubic bone. Please look up videos on the web to help you figure out how to best use any at-home doppler. It will help you not be so stressed. Another perk is that we can share this experience with friends and family over video chats. They can easily see the blinking heart on the screen and hear the rapid heart beat. Although we were cautioned by our medical provider against purchasing an at-home doppler, it was not because of any risk to the baby but due to her concern that it causes undue stress on parents when they cannot locate their baby's heart beat. If you stay patient and do not panic and do not overdue it with the doppler (no more than a few minutes at a time), then it is a great experience and not risky to your baby. I will say that the only mode we use is the manual mode because the other two modes do not seem correct with what your ears are hearing. It is far more accurate and easy to just manually count the number of beats you hear over 15 seconds and then multiply by 4. This gives you beats per minute. Our manual heart rate was the exact same as the professional ultrasound machine measurement a week later so we know it is a good method and what you hear on the machine is accurate.
