Our experience with Aveanna Home Health Care of Baxter has been very positive. After discharge from the hospital in Rochester for an infected leg wound, we received home care during the months of August and September 2026 at the cabin where we were staying. Ashlyn and all those that worked for her have been so attentive, so professional,responsive and flexible and ready to come when called to address the issues involved in dealing with wound vac care.Tanya and all the people who worked with her and came to the cabin to tend to the wound vac were wonderful and gave excellent care. They were prompt, caring, professional and flexible to our needs. I would rate them An A+.

I have started my hiring process with a wanna I care for a friends son who is autistic I started this process June tenth we going on August they still have not completed the hiring process they claim in the meantime don’t help the family until they hiring me consistency is a must with autism so I’m going to continue to help my friend regardless this company and their affiliates have engaged in embezzlement from families they claim to help greed is their main goal helping is their minor goal

If I could give this agency 0 stars, I would. My nurse was always screwing up my meds to the point I had to double check her. I have a background in pharmacy so I knew the drugs better. I had gotten an offer to return to work where we were going to do some creative rescheduling for my med visits and my nurse started dropping hints asking me if I could do them myself and I said no, I still need her to do my meds. She came up with a lie stating my primary care office refused to return their faxes because I didn’t need the nurse anymore because I was no longer housebound. I was never housebound from the very beginning of her coming. She just didn’t want to work with me anymore and hated the idea that I couldn’t be blown off until the afternoon anymore. I never ratted her out to her boss about all her mistakes, but now I wish I did.

The hospital initiated services for my NG tube dependent baby with Aveanna Health and honestly, before services even began I had a bad feeling. Prior to the “interview” with a prospective nurse, I had met the director who basically warned me that they are an agency and the nurses that they send out are not contracted and at any time they can decide to not show up or remove themselves from an assignment and that if that were to happen it would be extremely hard to get a replacement nurse. I proceeded with their services because I really needed the help post hospital discharge. The nurse that was assigned to my baby seemed pleasant and outspoken you know not afraid to speak her mind about a situation. She was a little older but had a lot of experience in the field which I appreciated. She did some things that I considered harmless at the time but once Aveanna brought some of her complaints about me to my attention AFTER they ceased services, I felt that I should bring them to light so that they could get the full story. When my baby would be falling asleep she would try and arouse him by smacking his legs and butt so that another one of his care providers could see that he was awake, so he could be up for her visit and this happened on multiple occasions. I remember the other lady giving me eye contact and I thought she would say something like it’s ok you don’t have to wake him up or something along those lines but it didn’t happen. She would also bring food for my children and I to consume almost everyday despite me not asking and even rejecting it. I didn’t want to come off as rude but didn’t know how to really deal with that. She offered to have her husband mount one of my televisions even though I never brought that up or asked for help. Another thing that was a red flag was her sharing negative thoughts about previous clients and their families and why she just “couldn’t do it anymore.” Those are only a few of the things that I didn’t understand or like but overall her care for my baby was really good and I didn’t have another option at the time. Once Aveanna called me to let me know that they would be stopping services immediately and that day was the nurse’s last day working with us because my baby’s condition changed that’s when I was notified about her complaints about me. She said that I didn’t have water for my baby’s bottles. My baby wasn’t a newborn but was over 6 months old at the time and tap water is acceptable to mix with formula so I’m not sure why that was even brought to my attention. She said that I borrowed money from her and didn’t pay her back when in reality my tap feature on my phone wasn't working and she suggested I use her card which I repaid her the $20 in cash. After that situation she asked me to use her card to go buy us both lunch even though I said I wasn’t hungry but she was persistent every-time. Even on her last day she had her husband bring us back food so I’m unsure why she would keep buying food and doing other things that were not warranted if I owed her money. I don't think that what she was doing was wrong and I wouldn’t have even complained however when there is a narrative that is being pushed at the end of an assignment that doesn’t tell the whole picture, I felt that it was necessary. My other issue with this company is their lack of accountability and communication. Over a week before services were abruptly stopped I had spoke to another one of their employees because me and the nurse wanted to know if they would in fact stop services since my baby no longer had his feeding tube in and that person stated in plain English that if the insurance were to decide to reduce or stop covering a service that it wouldn’t be instantly and that “It’s a process” and that she would “advocate” for me and my baby so there was nothing to worry about. This was communicated to me and the nurse because it was her phone that I was using on speaker phone. So at this point Aveanna was aware that the feeding tube was no longer in place and that my baby was doing well. Fast forward about a week later to the day of dismissing us, the director of operations Joshua let me know they had to stop services and that they didn’t know the feeding tube was out and he started to get into technicalities or whatever to cover themselves it seemed, referencing the contract that I signed which allowed them to discontinue care when a patient’s status changes. I understand that but you guys shouldn’t have people that work for you that promise or guarantee outcomes when they obviously don’t have the authority to. I will say that I am not upset, I am somewhat disappointed in the lies, accusations with false narratives and broken promises. I have already started the process of searching for another home health agency but this time has allowed me to care for my baby and learn from this situation, never get too comfortable.

Horrible. Treated me for 5 months for colon cancer. Starting around the last month they didn't want me to be a patient anymore. I wrote down the times I would take meds. They were off a few tome due to my negligence. I understand. I've outlived my prognosis. They dr calls my oncologist and the discussed how I didn't have one test. So all of a sudden I don't have cancer any more. Every thought the oncologist they take to gave me chemo. I guess they do that for patient with out cancer. So that means all the hospitals and Dr's I dealt with lied? And the miraculous dr found out with one phone call. I got to sit and listen to my nurse telling me about how they were getting rid of a 99 year old women for getting better. Best of all I was on heay doses of methadone. I received 3 days worth of medication to try to taper myself off. The nurse said it be ok because she call'd a nurse that works in the jail and told her nause meds Gatorade would help with withdrawals. I ended up in the er with chest pains Why wait so long to dismiss someone. Money? I hope Noone gets the pleasure to have them take care of you.

TAMARA CLEANING LADY SHE WAS GOOD AT FIRST SHE HAD BEEN WITH ME FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS SHE STARTESD SLACKING OFF SAYING THAT SHE DOESN’T THIS THAT HOW COME OTHER CLEANERS DO IT. THEN SHE SAID HER COMPANY AVIANA AGREED WITH HER I AM SUPPOSED TO FOLLOW HER SHE WORKS FOR ME NOT ME WORKING FOR HER LAST WEEK SHE LEFT 245PM DID NOT STAY HER 4 HOURS I HASD ANOTHEE DOCTIORS APOITMENT SHE HAS COME 5 TIMES WITHOUT ME BEIGNING THERE NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT ME BEIGNING HOME. NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN, SHE SAYUING THIS AND CHRIS THE MANAGER SIDED IN WITGH HER SGHE FGOYT MAD AT ME BECAUSE I CALLED HR BOSS AND SGHE DIDN’T LIKE IT SHE SAID TO ME 2 WEEKS BEFORE DON’T EVWR CALL MY BOSS AGAIN CALL ME SHE HAS SLIPPED UP SEVERAL TIMES NOW BY LEAVING EARLY OR NOT SHOWING UP OR LEAVING EARLY. I TOLD HER BOSS TIODAY B UT HE DIDN’T WANT TO HEAR IT THAT THE KIND OF PEOPLE AVIANA HAS WIORKING FOR TGHEM SHE IS NOT A VERY GOOOD CLEANER THE TILES IN MY BATHROOM I CLEANED THEM MY SELF SHE CLEANES ONE BED RIOOM ONE WEEK AND OANOTHER THE NEXT WEEK INSTEAD OF CLEANING THE WHOLE HIOUSE WHICH EVERYONE ELSE DOES BUT HER .IT WAS LOSY FROM THE GET GO IRST COUPLE OF WEEKS SHE WAS GOOD THE STARTED TO SLACK OFF

On April 20, I had Kyron Landry, a home nurse from Aveanna, visit to treat a wound. As part of the visit, he had me sign an unknown document on a tablet, asking me to sign twice because the first signature "didn’t save." He also collected personal information, including my Social Security Number, without explaining why it was necessary. The next day, I contacted Aveanna for clarification, and I was told a supervisor would return my call. No one ever called me back. I then submitted multiple written requests (via fax) asking for copies of what I signed and how my personal information was being used. Instead of responding to my written requests, Aveanna repeatedly called me—against my express instructions to avoid phone contact. On May 1, Melody Tipton from Aveanna called to schedule follow-up appointments. She identified herself as a supervisor but seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns about my personal data. She was solely focused on scheduling future visits. This situation has caused me extreme mental distress and has impacted my physical health. I’m now dealing with anxiety attacks, and I am deeply concerned about the negligence, violation of my patient rights, and misuse of my personal information by Aveanna.

Aveanna is a home health company serving basically pediatric clientele. The staff is so unprofessional thy trow yu to the wolves even if you are not a pediatric nurse.I am a geriatric nurse for 30 years and to be thrown in to pediatric with behavioral problems is not safe. The first day i was physically attacked by my client. It took two teachers to pull him off me then i was treated like this was my fault. I told them i was not going back they did not understand why? This company is unprofessional to say the least.Do not work for his company.
