ive been seeing a few bad reviews about this server host. but lets be real for a second. Y COMPLAIN ABOUT THE LAG IF ITS FREE, if u dont want lag buy a server. but the lag isnt even that bad, its just ur poop server that is bad not aternos

I was trying to find a server hosting website and i came up with this stuff I am not telling that this is not good but service is poor, i know they have limited resources Here is the List of bad service 1. Long queue time They had 0 to 10Min for queue but now, They have queue time for 20Min to 200min 2. Shutdown Timers I know that it will shutdown because lack of resources recently the shutdown timer was 5min than it was changed to 10 or 12min now the timer is 3min 3. Lack of Ram They only support 1GB or 1.4GB Ram to each user (Because lack of resources) This makes server laggy with 10players 4. Bad Discord Staff When Ever i tell them a problem i got muted for 2hr all they do is *Listening to spotify* Here, is 1 problem i got and told to Aternos *Why i am Blocked to Aternos website. It was i am attacking the website wth!* Then they response after 10 or 12min and muteing me for 2hr without saying anything only thing they sayed *WE ARE TRYING TO WORK* 5. Bugs and glitchs Most of the time Server dont start and shuts down (also after pressing confirm) Blocks Glitches many times many many times!! Plugin Bugs again and again IDK why they sayed *Dont use heavier plugins* Is LoginSecurity plugin is heave plugin? 6. Some Good things!!! Aternos is not bad This was the first website i used to host minecraft server and it was very nice playing with friends but after a year all changed

Don't understand why people are saying it's so laggy?? I've been using aternos for about a year or less and it's been doing Amazing... yes, when you first load up the world there are lag spikes, but when you stay long enough it apparently just all goes away... so it's fine. also, you need to take in mind that this is free hosting! if you don't like it then it's your mistake for thinking it has everything perfect for free.. the only little concern I have is that you could boost up the ram so that the world doesn't get laggy at the start of the world. Aternos is incredible.

At first, aternos appeared pleasant. It did its task and me and my friends played Minecraft like usual. Yet recently it resembles that the server quality has dropped. I can list some of the many issues. Let's start off with the issues in order. 1: The queue. The queue is just too much. It can range from 5 minutes to up to 2 HOURS. This can seriously waste time. 2: The loading. After you make it through the queue the server has to load. Seems simple right? No. I understand that servers take time to load but like the queue, it takes forever. 3: Poor server quality. Once you get onto the server, it seems normal enough. But there are many issues that range from annoying, to ruining the Minecraft experience. Here are some that I have experienced: Poor Render Distance: Sometimes when you play, there are short bursts of time when the render distance is utter garbage. Block Glitches: Imagine you join the Minecraft server, after waiting an annoyingly long amount of time, you start to mine a tree. But wait??? The block keeps on regenerating back for bursts of time. Not saving the servers for major updates: Ok, for this one this problem may just be for me. But whenever I build a sprawling world with my friends, of course, I update it for the next version of Minecraft. BUT IT RESTARTS THE WORLD. IMAGINE WORKING ON A WORLD FOR MONTHS, BUT IT GETS RESTARTED. You may think these issues might be because of the number of players the server has. But most players I had at one time was 3. OUT OF 20. Hell! Even most of those glitches happen when I am on the server, alone. In conclusion, aternos is an awful server of one of the lowest quality. I would just cough up the money for a realm as you can barely do anything from speedrunning to creative building without the crappy quality ruining everything.

After reading everyone’s reviews, and testing it out for myself, I have to say I’m pretty impressed. For a free server, it works well, and you can add mods to the server to play with your friends. Yes, there are sometimes lag spikes and internet issues, but it’s a free server, what do you expect? It costs money to get higher ram servers for like $5-$10, and for a free server, don’t expect it to be great. If you want a good server, then just buy one. But playing with friends is still fun, i dont get the hate its recieving
