Extremely disappointing experience — $9,000 spent with very little to show for it
I worked with Ashworth Strategy from approximately August–October 2025. At the time, I had just launched my website and knew very little about Meta ads or running an online business. During my initial sales call with Georgina, I was sold on their “Rapid Results Testing” program for $4,500 plus $1,000 in ad spend. I was told they would test a large number of ads over the course of a month and that the results would help me scale my business. I was also told their $2,000/month “Done With You” program would give me extensive training in Meta ads and email marketing so I could eventually manage everything myself. I was very upfront that I was a single mom and that I was in a difficult financial position and desperately needed my business to become profitable. I was given extremely optimistic expectations about the amount of sales I could generate. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. It took roughly a month for the Rapid Results testing to even begin, and the ads were only actually run for about two weeks. I provided a large amount of photo and video content, expecting the agency to create strong, strategic ads from it. Instead, most of the ads were simply my existing content with basic copy, including ai-generated captions. The creatives felt random and underdeveloped, and I did not feel I received anything close to what I expected for $4,500. Despite this, I was told the results were very positive and encouraged to immediately sign up for the $2,000/month program. The “Done With You” program was also extremely disappointing. My Meta ads specialist essentially showed me how to use Ads Manager and told me to go run ads myself. I received very little actual strategy or guidance about what I should be advertising or testing. I was uncomfortable spending $50/day without a clear strategy, and when I expressed concerns, I was repeatedly reassured that the sales would come. I eventually ran the ads myself for several weeks with zero sales before turning them off. I was eventually told my website must be the problem because the ads couldn't be the issue, which I did not agree with. The email marketing support was somewhat more helpful, but overall I felt the level of support and strategic direction was nowhere near what I expected for $2,000/month. After months of spending money without seeing the results I was promised, I asked to pause and eventually emailed to cancel. I had been told I needed to provide 30 days' notice, which I did. When my scheduled “unpause” date arrived, I was contacted and told I had not properly canceled and was expected to pay another $2,000. After a lengthy back-and-forth, they eventually allowed me to sever ties. In total, I paid approximately $9,000 and did not come away with the sales, profitability, advertising strategy, or level of training I expected. What prompted me to finally write this review is that someone from Ashworth recently called me asking if I was interested in rejoining. Given my experience, I was honestly shocked to receive that call. I can only speak to my own experience, but I would strongly encourage anyone considering spending thousands of dollars with this company to get very specific details in writing about what will actually be delivered, how much hands-on support you will receive, and the cancellation terms. For me, $9,000 was an incredibly expensive lesson.
