Armstrong SteelReviews of armstrongsteelbuildings.com

We were led to believe that our garage was going to cost 1/2 less than it ended up. There are so many undisclosed hidden fees that had I known I would have stick built it for the original price. Plus we are still Waiting on our garage doors to be delivered and I can’t seem to get an answer. Build it yourself and save thousands.

The building came out pretty good, but the sales process was not truthful, and the project manager is really only there to up sell additional items the sales person either left out, or did not explain proactively. The building had two brackets miss installed and they did not react fast enough to keep the building on time and progressing with my contractor, This caused one vertical post to be angled, and the other to be cut off and rewelled with out their help. They say they will help with the permitting process, they we no help to understand that process just provided signed plans, but that was not what the sales person said, he said they provide the plans and help walk me through the permitting process, not true agIn Overall I did not put the Armstrong placard on the building, and would not go back for a second building

Roof girt material was shipped in incorrectly delaying construction by 3 months. Finally got the material which was purchased 30 miles from my location. Horrible lack of concern for my delay. No way I will recommend them based on the material issues. The building and instructions were fine. Tell Armstrong Building to KMA.

Instructions are incredibly complicated to understand without an engineering degree. Between the plans and the erection manual it’s possible but very difficult to understand what goes where. Some diagrams so small it’s almost impossible to understand them.

Misleading regarding what contract covers. Don't believe them when they say the pricing is ending. It isn't. Just want your deposit. Make sure all your openings are included in the contract and everything you'll ever need because they are more than happy to sell you a metal box with no openings. Then add additional charges for openings, etc.

Lot of miscommunication. I will eventually get my building up. Still have not got my building built. Will never do business with them again.

Tried to get an honest quote from Armstrong. Reading other reviews has alerted me to the need to be cautious about what is included and what is not included. They refused to quote me a building that included insulation, saying "they don't do that". They offered to set me up as a "dealer" in their database which would enable me to get better pricing on the things they do not include - this smells "shady" of course. Another problem is, they offered 2 prices. The first was $37,000. But, if I was willing to buy right now today I could get it for $22,000. I asked if there was any way I can get an up front price that included everything, such as the insulation, and was told they would send me links to their suppliers so I could work up that price myself - but I would have to pay the $37,000 price. Dishonest sale techniques - don't give this company the satisfaction.
