I've been renting from Armoire since 2019 and have loved everything about it! New styles are always available. The app is easy to use. When I need help support is always great and I love their added styling feature either with a custom online closet or in person styling in Seattle.

So I really want to love this service but it does feel inferior to other competitors in the market, specifically Nuuly. For $10 more you can get 6 items/month from Nuuly. In terms of variety of items, on paper Armoire appears to have a great selection. After having membership for 14 months and really digging into the inventory, I’ve found the following: some items NEVER become available, I’m talking over a 6 month period. So there’s very little opportunity to rent a number of the styles. The items are very worn and kept in circulation all past their prime. In regards to the ability to purchase items that you rent, I’ve found very little value in this. I have noticed that multiple items I’ve rented are available from the manufacturer or other outlet for a significantly cheaper price. For example, I rented a pair of Vegan leather Michael Stars leggings. The price to purchase on Armoire is $111, they are final sale on Michael Stars for $32. I think any rational human can guess which outlet I purchased from. This stuff is shady and insulting. Y’all do know we all have the same internet, right? Update: Feb 2024 Armoire team, thank you for taking the time to reply. I have since purchased other items from the service because they offer some truly awesome pieces! I would also like to say Armoire’s customer service is top notch- I’ve never walked away from an exchange feeling disappointed with the service. A big shout out to Jayla and Nicolette for all of their hardwork!
