I purchased a pair of H20 all terrain boots in October. The rubber around the toes on both boots was crooked. I messaged Ariat, as I would expect better quality control and wondered what unseen defects were there. Over the past 5 months, I received 3 messages apologizing for lack of a response, they're busy, and here's a 20% coupon. Today I received a message my case has been closed!!! I've always liked my Ariat boots, but no more, there are many other options.

This is the first and last time I order from Ariat. I ordered a $200 pair of western boots from them and was really looking forward to wearing them. A week later they come in and the seam on the right inside boot was extremely defective, causing the boot to lean heavily to the right. Frustrated, I called ARIAT and told them about it. They said to send the boots back and they would refund my money but that it would take up to three weeks to get my money returned. They decided to provide me with a 20% discount and I went with that. Ariat displays on their website that they do "free returns" but that ended up not being true as they shipped the boots in a plastic bag and I could not send the boots back in that same plastic bag. I called them and they literally told me that it was on me to go and purchase a box to ship the boots back in, and that "that's just a risk you take with online buying." So there goes my 20% discount as it cost me $7.50 to ship the boots back. I have read online that Ariat "used" to be the big name to buy boots from, but that the quality and customer service have become horrible. Why is this? Easy - because the Chinese make their boots and control the customer service. The Chinese are the WORST manufacturers in the history of the world.

i have been a die hard Ariat fan for as long as I can remember! They have been my go to boots for YEARS... until now! Their customer service, or mainly lack there of, is AWFUL!!!!! I received a pair of Airat Terrains and they were my 3 pair, have always loved them.... I received them on my birthday in August,and in December a seem because to rip away from the sole right at the inside arch of my foot... only on the left boot. I reached out then, to figure out a course of action, because in all my years of airat, I have never had a boot breakdown that fast. They told me to go to the retailer, because they do not deal with just the customer.... HOW IS THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE? So now the retailer will decide if they want to do an exchange or not.... well, my boots being a gift, the retailer chose not to exchange, even though they clearly stated it was absolutely a manufacture defect in the boot... They said to take it up with Ariat. So now my vicious circle continues. I have decided that due to exceptionally AWFUL customer service, my whole family will look for a different boot company all together.

I have bought Ariat boots for years & been delighted with them but not so with my recent purchase of a pair of "water-proof" women's walking boots. They leaked in the first week from simply walking through dew soaked grass. Mercifully the retailer "Horseland" had an excellent complaints policy & refunded my money immediately at point of sale on production of the receipt.I have since bought a pair of Merrells from Anaconda - $30 dollars cheaper & totally water-proof!

Awful customer service been trying to get my warranty claim taken care for going on 3 months been sending emails and calling only to be told someone will be in touch that I'm still waiting on that return call or email. Never again Will i purchase from ariat based solely on their customer service

Three months trying to get a replacement pair of shoes for a defective pair of cruisers...a lot of wasted time and no results. I Love Ariat shoes and clothing...however I am looking for a new brand. I suggest everyone should pick a brand with great quality AND great customer service.

I have had the worst experience with Ariat and their customer service department that I have ever had with any retailer...period. I ordered a pair of their boots online, only to realize they were the wrong size. While Ariat touts free returns, in order to make a return, I had to initiate a customer service claim so they could send me a return label. I initiated the claim on November 25th and provided the information requested by Ariat via e-mail. It is now December 16th and I have received NO response from Ariat to repeated inquiries that have included three e-mails and two phone calls. Twice I have called during normal business hours only to receive a recorded message that their office is closed. Right now I have been on hold for over 37 minutes listening to a pre-recorded message every 10 seconds, with no idea when or if someone will ever pick up this call. Infuriating. Never buy from ARIAT. You will regret it.

Bought a pair of waterproof walking boots and they leaked from day one. Many emails later I told them to forget as they had no intention of honouring their warranty. I can only use these 'waterproof ' boots in the dry. Disgusting customer service and low quality products not worth the premium price. Back to Merrell for me from now on
