I found that there wasn’t a lot of support, i was bounced around from department to department with little support if I didn’t want to spend additional funding. I had a hard time getting a document stating that I was indeed the author of my book to be able to log into Amazon and see my stats. I have not received a follow up from my rep at all to provide feedback. Archway takes a large portion of the profit from the sales but doesn’t do any of the marketing and doesn’t support their authors at all through the process. My next book will not be published with this company.

This was my dream...to be a published author. I worked hard and saved for this and every step of the way someone from Archway Publishing tried to take my money and run. From trying to get me to sign away editorial services that were included with my package to having to fight to get the copies of my book that I was due to receive also as part of my package, it has felt more and more like a money making scheme designed to delude new authors than a legitimate part of a well known Publishing House. I know others that want to be published and when they asked my advice, I told them to avoid Archway Publishing. Need a call back from a manager? Wait at least 2 months then call Customer Service and wait some more (still waiting for this on my end). Paid for your book to get turned into an Audiobook? Wait 2 months after initial publication and try in vain to get the audio files that you were promised you would get to review. Honestly, I am starting consider getting the Better Business Bureau involved. No legitimate publisher would treat authors like this...self published or not.

The finished product, my book, is well done. But the time between submitting a finished manuscript and putting the book into print was excessive (the completed manuscript was submitted almost 9 months before the May 8 publication date. At the same time the fulfillment process for Archway is expensive and slow. When the book was published I simultaneously ordered copies from Amazon and Archway - Amazon delivered in one day - Archway charged me delivery charges AND the book has still has not been delivered.

Great for new authors looking for a place to start.

I signed on for the publishing package at 2k and was expecting to get $500 credit to purchase volumes of my published work as i was quoted. To date, I have received 2 books, priced at $18 apiece. I have repeatedly asked my contact to call me so we can request the remainder of my book credits be spent. I am still waiting. The editorial process was quick and costly, mostly done by myself and the problems with image copyright were just my own ignorance- I even did calligraphy because we (me, you guys did nothing) couldn't get permission to use a website, luckily I can do many things. I am largely unhappy with my purchase and will be headed elsewhere with my second book.
