horrible navigation
Horrible navigation. You’d expect: Show → Season → Episode Instead you get: Show → Autoplay → Hunt for Episodes The Typical (Horrible) Navigation Path Open Apple TV You’re immediately dropped into: Up Next / Continue Watching Big promotional banners No clear “Episodes” button in sight Apple assumes you want the most recent episode. Select the Show (Not the Episode) Clicking the show often auto-plays the latest episode There is no confirmation screen No “Are you sure?” or “Episode list?” prompt If autoplay kicks in, you’re already off track. Back Out (But Not Too Far) Here’s where it gets messy: Press Back once → sometimes exits the show entirely Press Back twice → you’re back on the home screen The behavior changes depending on how you entered the show There is no consistent navigation rule. Find the Tiny “Episodes” Button If you’re lucky: Scroll down (not up, not sideways) Past: Trailers Cast info “Related” content Eventually you’ll see Episodes in small text This should be the primary option, but it’s buried. Season Selection Is Often Hidden Once in Episodes: The app may show only the current season Season selector might be: A tiny dropdown A horizontal scroll at the top Completely invisible until you scroll up This is especially bad for long-running shows. Scrolling Is Slow and Clunky Episodes are large tiles No compact list view No “jump to episode” or numeric input Scrolling back multiple seasons = endless swiping This is where patience goes to die. Who ever developed this navigation, I hope you get cancer. Because you work for a top tier company, and suck at website development. Apple should be embarrassed.
