Pretty good service when it's working, the streaming is smooth and reliable and there's a good selection of things to watch. Loses two stars because it's a pain in the ass if you're trying to use it without having Apple hardware. I was unable to accept new EULAs on my ancient Apple account without getting a friend to log me in on his Macbook, because there was literally no way to do it on the website, and the website can be a bit clunky and glitchy on non-Safari browsers.

Apple TV has a few good shows such as Slow Horses and Severance but the weekly drop and inadequate User Interface are off-putting. I'm currently on Silo Episode 3 and, after an absence, wish to start again at Ep 1 but there's no way to do this. Basic navigation is inexplicably missing and I'm considering canceling. Apple of all companies should know form and function are both necessary parts of good design. It's as if they aren't even trying.

Cant sign in. What a tripe company Apple are. Signed up to AppleTV+. Worked in the morning then by the afternoon I cant sign in. Spent 2hrs on the chat going round in circles. Next day call from senior customer service no help at all. They know there is a fault with their system but they cant fix it or get me signed back in. Not getting a service I have paid for and cant cancel because I cant sign in. I would expect better from one of the biggest companies in the world. After bad start things are now working fine. Good mix of programs. Upped rating to 3 stars.

The way they cover blue Jay game is terrible. Interviewing players in middle of inning with split screen is not enjoyable. Don’t even announce players as they come up to bat. Stats are so small you need glasses to see them. Wow!

Saw an advert for a dinosaur mini-series narrated by David Attenborough. That's right up my street, so went ahead and signed up for a free trial. The process for signing up was pretty easy. However, the series isn't even available until the 24th! Which means my 7 day free trial is useless. I wouldn't mind if AppleTV offered a lot of movies etc, because I would watch those in the mean time and then continue the subscription for the monthly cost to get the dinosaur series. But it genuinely doesn't offer anything good! There's a shockingly low amount of content available. Maybe 20, 30 movies total? Cancelled my free trial. It was easy and took one click, which is night and day compared to other subscription services where you have to jump through hoops to cancel. Value for money is king, and AppleTV is not it. Having said that, the entire process of signing up - and then almost immediately cancelling - was pretty quick and painless. NOTE: do not sign up for a free trial, if you're interested in the dinosaur series that is being advertised!!!! Wait until the end of May before signing up. It is NOT available to watch now, at least not in the UK. 3*** / 5 +1 for potentially interesting content +1 for easy sign up +1 for easy cancellation -1 for promoted show not being available -1 for available content being generally disappointing and lacking.... like, it's not great
