I have to 2nd, 3rd...the Apple Fanboy comments. Their reviews grossly overate products and do not provide accurate pros AND cons. You cannot trust this site for honest reviews of Apple products or comparisons.

Always my go to spot for up to date information. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for trustworthy info on anything apple related. When I was trying to figure out what kind of phone I wanted, I went and checked out the article about the iPhone 12(mini,12,12 pro, 12 pro max) it really helped me make a decision instead of just taking a wild guess as I usually don’t know much about what’s a good decision for the bunch. Would highly recommend checking out more of their other articles they have one the site

I was using them to try to find a good price on a MacBook Pro. Adorama was listed as the best price for various models, and I was considering buying through them. However, I fortunately thought to look up reviews of Adorama. They get TERRIBLE reviews on both trustpilot (1.9/5) and resellerratings (1/5), with nightmare story after nightmare story from customers. If Appleinsider is willing to list this disreputable merchant alongside reputable ones, and drive traffic to them by their price comparisons, then their where to buy guides really shouldn't be trusted. And, I'll avoid them in general in the future. Edit: I tried to add a link to one of the specific pages I'm referring to, but links aren't allowed in review. After I posted my original review, I got a contact from AppleInsider via TrustPilot: first asking me for "more details", even though my review was detailed and completely accurate. To respond to this directly, you have to give your contact details, and I did NOT want Appleinsider to have that info. I suspect that this was a first step in trying to get my review taken down - if you don't respond within 3 days, they can contact CS to "review" the review. Instead I complained to CS. Then: I got another contact from them claiming that my review was about some other website, when if you read my original review, the content makes quite clear that it's about AppleInsider. I think another step to try to get my review taken down. I complained to TrustPilot CS about this, but haven't heard back. Bottom line: an even stronger "stay away from AppleInsider!"

We read your feedback thoroughly and regret to hear about your concerns. Adorama is an Apple Authorized Reseller that's been in business since 1974 and works directly with Apple and its distributors to ship thousands of orders. We include them in our Price Guides as they have the lowest prices on hundreds of Apple products, which can often be a deciding factor among people looking to buy a Mac, iPad, or Apple Watch. We also include prices from other Apple resellers to compare and decide where you want to purchase. It's always up to you where you want to buy from -- we present a comprehensive list of options so shoppers can find the deal that works for them. We invite you to reach out to us directly if you have any questions, as we're more than happy to go over your feedback.

Fake scam site. Headlines are misleading and promote deals that aren't genuine. Edit: I was asked for more information by Trustpilot on behalf of AppleInsider. I provided my full name and telephone against my better judgement, because of my previous assertion. Also, to clarify, I have not purchased anything from them, this is about their advertising/behaviour in articles/using headlines that are deliberately misleading.

Been reading AppleInsider for years. I'll concur with the negative reviews -- it's a website for Apple fans, for sure. It is not unbiased, but the website is focused on one company, so of course they must like that company. That being said, they do call Apple out on its BS -- removing/misrepresenting features, anti-competitive actions, and over-pricing. All that being said, it's a good place to get aggregated news and especially rumors about upcoming products. My main constructive criticism for them would be to hire an editor (or a better one). Very few articles are published without at least one typo, which does not live up to the standard of many of higher-profile tech review sites. However, I keep coming back because the articles feel like they're written by everyday people, not by Silicon Valley hype beasts or Wall Street suits. The reviews and commentaries talk about how a somewhat average person will use a product. Thanks AI and I hope you stick around.

They publish misleading and false information about other companies' products in order to make Apple look better. Their "product comparisons" are a bad joke as they universally conclude that Apple is better in every way because they judge the merit of all other devices by how closely they resemble Apple's products and operating system. They automatically assume that Apple is the best product out there and that any deviation from Apple's design choices is a bad thing.
