As outlined in your warranty contract, coverage is provided for the breakdown of specific items due to normal wear and tear. However, the warranty does not cover all components or necessarily the full cost of repair or replacement. Regarding your dishwasher claim, the technician determined that the issue was related to the water inlet valve. Unfortunately, this component is not a listed covered item under your contract, and the claim was not approved. For your air conditioning claim, based on your technician’s diagnosis of a failed compressor, we approved a reimbursement amount to assist with that specific repair. However, the additional items associated with this repair are not covered, and we were unable to assist with those costs. However, it doesn't cover everything, and it may not cover the full cost of repair or replacement of a covered item. According to your technician, the leak is coming from the set screw in the pressure reducing valve. Unfortunately, the pressure reducing valve is not a listed covered item under the contract, so we are unable to assist with the repairs. The contract provides assistance in the event of the breakdown of specific items due to normal wear and tear. It does not cover everything, and it may not cover the entire cost of repair or replacement of a covered item. In reviewing your Water Heater claim, the information provided by your technician determined that the water heater had exceeded the useful life expectancy for a gas water heater. In accordance with the contract terms, APHW exercised our discretion and approved the claim for $375.00 toward the installation of a new unit. In reviewing your Roof Leak Repair claim, your contractor identified several issues that needed to be addressed. The flashing is listed as a covered item, the other issues are not. We approved the claim for $275.00 for the replacement of 6 feet of flashing, less your $50.00 deductible. The warranty offers coverage on a wide range of items throughout the home and attached garage that add further value to your warranty.
