Hello Tom, Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. I can understand your frustration with the claim delay, and we would like to apologize for the length of time it took for your claim determination to be made. This does not live up to our award-winning customer service standards, and we will be coaching our employees to correct the issue. Regarding your claim determination results, to qualify for coverage, potentially covered items must be fully operational upon occupancy of the home, and then fail from normal wear and tear during the warranty coverage period. I see that you advised us that the Hot Tub would not turn on the first time trying to use it. Per the terms of the warranty, we are unable to assist with items that failed prior to the start of the warranty coverage period. Also, I see that your Dishwasher claim is still open. If you would like to complete this claim, please have your contractor call us at 800.648.5006 prior to any work being completed. We are open 24/7/365 and we would be happy to assist! As stated in the warranty brochure, the contract does not cover pipes that fail as a result of freezing, nor does it cover secondary damages. Therefore we were unable to assist with your plumbing claim. In order for the warranty to assist, we must speak with the licensed contractor to obtain the full diagnoses and estimate to determine coverage under the warranty. The warranty is in place to assist with the cost of repairing or replacing specific items that fail from normal wear and tear; it may not cover the entire cost. Hello Heidi, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience; I can understand your frustration with the claim determination. The warranty is in place to assist with the cost of repairing or replacing specific items that fail from normal wear and tear; not all items are covered. I have reviewed the claim for the oven and see that the technician diagnosed the latch and clock as the failed items. Per the terms of the warranty, these are not covered items; therefore, the warranty was unable to assist with this claim. The warranty also states that if no covered defects are discovered or repaired during a service call, the homeowner is responsible for the entire cost of the service call.
