After nearly 30 years of purchasing travel insurance, my fear of having to file a claim and fight to receive a equitable settlement proved to be unfounded, at least with this company. I woke up in a hotel in NYC the day prior to our cruise departure and based on past experience, told my wife we were not going to be cruising the next day. During the train trip home I was evacuated from the train by ambulance and admitted to a hospital with what turned out to be pneumonia. After recovering from that, I began the tedious task of filing a claim. As it turned out the process was much less difficult than I expected. There was no back and forth with the insurance company, no "we will not pay unless.... The claim was settled and paid in less than two weeks. Very impressive. It is unlikely I will ever be able to utilize Aon again as I believe my travel and cruise days are over but ever I do have the need to purchase travel insurance I will not hesitate to purchase it from Aon.
