Been traveling with NCL for years always bought the insurance made plans for the family on a cruise three days later my wife was diagnosed with cancer. She was not able to travel so we canceled the trip and all they’ve done is asked me for papers and more papers and more papers from the doctors. This is a scam. I wouldn’t waste my money buy an insurance from these people

Revisions needs to be had
I purchased this travel insurance with my birthday cruise on Carnival Cruise line that was to set sail on 1/5/2025, my actual birthdate. Unfortunately I couldn't make said cruise because my layover flight was delayed for 8+ hours. Huge bummer. I left a whole night before from Las Vegas to have some cushion to make the ship to no avail. I tried finding other flights going to Miami as well, those were also delayed. So I had to cancel my birthday trip. I filed a claim with AON Affinity, provided proof, and a letter from the airline. My claim was denied on a technicality. Policy says you can receive 100% cash refund for illness, death, severe weather, and more. Only way you can get 100% cash refund for a flight delay is if its inclement weather. A flight delay is a flight delay. This was an unfortunate event that was completely out of my control that cost me my dream trip. I was offered 75% future cruise credit for my cancellation. So, I had to take a loss of funds for something that was out of my hands! My excursions, specialty dining, and add ons were refunded, why couldn't my cruise fare be as well? Or even 100% future cruise credit. I feel this policy needs revision. I can see if I was negligent in some way, I'd have no problem with penalty. But to add insult to injury is very disheartening. I was already feeling really bad about not being able to cruise for my birthday, as this was a huge deal for me, but to have salt poured on the wound made things even worse. Don't penalize a consumer for things they have no control over.

This is nothing but scam
This is nothing but scam. I will never buy travel insurance again. They delay the process and provide inadequate response in order not to pay claims
We were on a cruise in October with Royal Carribean . The cruise was supposed to be from 5-12 October 2024. We did not return from the cruise until October 14. We were delayed at the seas for two days due to hurricane Helene. I have yet to receive any resolution. I received an email in November telling me that they have received all required documents from the travel agent and I should hear from them in 15 days. I also called and I was told the same thing in the middle of November. Today is 25 December and no response yet

Update #1: Thank you for providing additional information. We are looking into it and will be contacting you ASAP. The issue that caused a delay was that you purchased an insurance plan different than what the cruise line offered leading to some confusion, but that is now clarified and we have requested expedited review.
We have requested additional information from you in order to review your claim. Please provide claim number and any supporting details and we will contact you back directly. Thank you.

Dear Carol Wallace
We’re sorry to learn that you and your Family are unable to sail aboard the Carnival Vista. We know you were looking forward to your cruise and we empathize with your disappointment over having to miss your vacation plans.
Aon Affinity has informed us that you qualify for a Future Cruise Credit. However, our record indicates the Carnival Vacation Plan was added to your reservation on 10/11/2024 after your final payment date of 09/30/2024. After further review we notice your booking B5JX63 cancelled on 10/24/2024 a few days after the Carnival Vacation Protection Plan was added.
Per the Terms and condition of the Carnival Vacation Protection Plan, in order to be eligible for Cancel for any Reason cruise credits, the Carnival Vacation Protection plan must be added, and premium plan paid prior to your final payment date. Once the Carnival Vacation Protection Plan is added after the cancellation penalty charges period, you are not eligible for the “Cancel for Any Reason” FCC.
Therefore, Aon cruise credit offer is rescinded as you are not eligible for the “Cancel for Any Reason cruise credit offer. We have carefully reviewed your request for special consideration and regret that we’re unable to honor your request for the cancel for any reason cruise credit and our no compensation decision remain the same.
For details regarding Carnival Vacation Protection Plan Terms and Conditions please lick on the link Carnival Vacation Protection.
Thank you for your understanding.

Ms. Wallace, Aon administers the Travel Protection Plan and if a claim was submitted to us, we will have it escalated for review and contact you directly. The message you posted above is from the cruise line, so we cannot make comment on that.

I purchased travel coverage from Aon
I purchased travel coverage from Aon, but unfortunately, my husband became seriously ill and later passed away. When I submitted a claim, Aon denied it, citing a preexisting condition. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue, it has now been over two months with no success. The lack of support and transparency has been incredibly frustrating during such a difficult time. I cannot recommend Aon for travel insurance based on my experience, and I will not be using their services in the future.
