Anytime FitnessReviews of anytimefitness.com

Terrible company do not sign up, they say 5-day trial, and then will not refund you the fee. scammers, i have large network of gym people, anytime fitness will be known for this. keep the 90$, BUT U WILL LOSE ALOT MORE. LET'S SEE WHERE U ARE IN A FEW YEARS WITH THIS BUSINESS MODEL.

I joined this gym outside work, 3 months in fell pregnant and wanted to cancel my membership. I cancelled by direct debit and then received emails three times a week saying I have to reinstate as I’m in an overdraft and owe them money. I called the branch to which they said it’s not a good enough medical excuse and must obtain a GPs letter confirming the pregnancy to cancel otherwise I must pay for the remaining 9 months. However they would not accept my NHS documentation from my hospital appointments or midwife. Disgusting company - never ever will I recommend and I am still fighting to not be charged…

Promised I would keep my rate when I signed up, raised prices. Promised I'd keep my discounted rate when I referred friends for sign up with $2 per week. Raised the prices. I asked why, they said it was "unfair to the other members who had to pay more". If you don't want differing rates of memberships, don't make it your primary sales model or don't lie. This is just another example of a company with massive profit margins increasing their weekly cost due to "overheads" and vague concepts like member discussion about differing rates like that's actually something people sit around and do. I was also told on another occasion that the price was being raised to "maintain the quality of the club" which has broken machines for weeks on end.

Stay away from this gym! Why didn't I read these reviews before joining!! The gym itself (Maynooth) is packed all the time. If you are interested in weights, well good luck with that, you'll be waiting & waiting & waiting! About 4 barbells for 50 people at any one time, maybe 5 or 6 benches! I had a 6 month contract, but after 2 months it was obvious going to this gym was a waste of time, I'd spending my time either waiting to use stuff or apologising because you are always in someone's way. So I paid for 5 of the 6 months, but I was hounded by Anytime fitness, they were adding charges then even though I explained I felt they hadn't carried out there side of the contract. In the end I gave up & paid the final month but I expect they'll come back with something else! I never was given an actual copy of my contract at the start either. They also believe or so the girl I spoke to told me, that all bad reviews online are from their competitors!!! Well the competitors are fierce busy! 54% on this website gave them one star! Please save yourself a lot of bother & stay away from them!!!

I will never recommend this gym to my friends!

If I could rate 0, I WOULD. It’s a trap. NEVER GET A MEMBERSHIP FROM THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT BRANCH YOU ARE. They would invite you for a free NONEXISTENT 3-day trial and their RECEPTIONIST will BUG YOU TO SIGN A CONTRACT. An OPEN ONE LIKE WE EXPERIENCED. We were NEVER INFORMED about the cancellation and how we can’t CANCEL MIDDLE OF THE MONTH. Crazy. But PLEASE IF YOU DON’T WANT YOUR SAVINGS DRAINED DRY FROM THIS COMPANY, CANCEL IT NOW. I honestly want to kill myself now because you made me lose all my savings. I feel trapped and hopeless and you don’t even allow any online cancellations.

I left the NL, cancelled my contract, and had the confirmation from Anytime by mail. In the next months they deducted again the costs, and they are also not ready to answer to my mail.

Don’t join this gym, no matter what location their gyms are cramped, their stuff is so unprofessional, equipment are not good and suitable and the machines are very limited
