Anytime fitness are pure frauds simple! Signed up and paid for a month, now I’m been hounded to pay for another month when I just wanted a month of gym time. They have sent me a threatening email and are now sending me sms’s that if I don’t pay up they would collect this and that amount as penalty. Stay away from them.

All I’m gonna say it’s , STAY FAR AWAY FROM ANY “Anytime fitness” specially the one in Honolulu Hawaii.

Extremely Disappointing – Avoid This Gym (Copied from my Google Review) I have never experienced such poor service from a gym in all my years. Pausing a membership here is unnecessarily complicated, and even after successfully navigating their convoluted process, they continue to charge you whilst your membership is paused, and attempt to charge you for unpausing as well. Over the past month, I’ve called SIX times, visited the gym in person, and yet the issue remains unresolved. It feels as though they are deliberately making it difficult for members to get what they are rightfully owed. The management is completely absent. Despite numerous attempts to escalate the issue, the manager has been unresponsive, offering no guidance or resolution. I was advised to send an email, which I did, and even after two business days, I’ve received no response—no refund, no apology, and no end in sight. The staff are poorly trained and offer conflicting information with each interaction and often contradict one another. This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is simply unacceptable. The state of the gym itself is equally appalling. The bathrooms are consistently dirty and smelly, cleanliness and hygiene appears to be a low priority. For the high membership fees and occasional "club enhancement fees", you would expect better facilities and service, but unfortunately, that is far from the case. The staff, while present, often seem disengaged and unhelpful, further adding to the frustration. This experience has been beyond disappointing and very embarrassing for Anytime Fitness. Given the high costs and complete lack of customer care, I strongly advise others to avoid this gym. There are many other options that prioritize member satisfaction and offer a far better value for your money. **UPDATE** Even Worse Than Expected We called the gym again today in an effort to speak with the manager directly. Instead of engaging with us, the employee on the phone said, “the manager does not want to talk on the phone; they only want to reply through the Google review.” As you can see from their response below, it’s petty, unprofessional, and completely disregards our concerns. Not only do they post our private business publicly, but they make zero effort to accommodate us or resolve the real issue— which is the fact that they have essentially stolen our money and continue to lie about it. During the call, the employee hung up on us mid-sentence, and within 25 minutes, our memberships were suddenly canceled. So, they can cancel our memberships instantly, but they can’t process a refund for the money that is rightfully ours? That’s highly suspicious, to say the least. On top of that, if you look at other reviews, the owner/manager hides behind the screen, acting like a cyber bully, instead of fixing the very problems they have caused. They go as far as accusing members of "defamation" for leaving negative comments. It’s laughable—especially considering I doubt it’s even legal for their bathrooms to be in such a filthy, biohazardous state. All in all, I am extremely pleased to be leaving this gym (if you can even call it that). The nicest thing they have done for me is cancel my membership - saving me gas, time, mental energy, and having to deal with them in person. Not only will I be leaving - but many of my friends are leaving as well. It is very clear where their priorities lie, and I am blessed that my friends and I will no longer have to waste our hard-earned money on a scam of a business.

This is absolutely the WORST gym I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with!!! ABSOLUTE SCAM!!! I am a single mother of 5 kids, i am currently on disability and do not have a lot of money. However, my 2 oldest children really wanted to join this gym as they are really trying to better themselves this year. My boys are 16 and 18 and have struggled with their mental health quite a bit, I thought joining a gym would be great for them and they have actually used it quite a bit since I bought them memberships 2 weeks ago, especially my 16 year old. I signed them up for the student 6 month contract, the fee is $35 per member every 2 weeks. Well, today I received 2 Separate charges on my account... 1 for $116.62!!! And 1 for $54.67!!! Upon seeing these charges I immediately contacted customer service and was told that I got a penalty fee of $19 for being late, apparently they tried on Sept 18 to take a payment (yet I did NOT receive any emails or notification at all until today stating that they had tried this morning to take the payment, but it had failed... But (and I quote) "not to worry, these things happen. We will try again within 3-4 days". Well, they tried again right away because it went through 2 minutes later. I was also told there was 2 fees of $61 and some sense for my 1 son, but that she had never heard of them and that I should contact the gym directly to ask about those fees! There is not a SINGLE mention of any extra fees, late fees or penalties written in any of my emails of contract!! Nor was I told about them when I signed up!! In fact one of their big things is "NO HIDDEN FEES" BULL CRAP!!! This is absolutely NOT ok!!! I am reaching out to the better business bureau!! DO NOT USE THIS GYM!!!!

pure garbage just sign up two weeks later want to cancel asap they tell me i cant cancel i paid 220$ to sign up and two weeks later i tell them cancel i hate your gym all of it ! i got ptsd high functioning autism severe adhd and these clows are still taking money from my account after they said they cancel it all garbage at those gyms too amny entitle ppl making you feel you not at your place always staff amd members always causing me problems who are you let me see your key fob do it again ok hey i pay like everyone and you all should f off me these ppl are in the own world same if you train with friends they think you training ppl etc me i say f off i can talk and give pointers to my friends if they ask me simple nobody wants to pay 100 a hour for your trainers opinion and now these dirty ppl are playing the game right so i closed my bank account and open a new one pure garbage gym i joined movati cheaper better classier better ppl and staff and no attitude as you go in or out or train the only good anytime fitness gym is in squamish bc all others are pure garbage that why left anytime fitness in ontario straight garbage

I would give negative stars if I could. Besides talking to the manager at the end of May about canceling my acct, he didn't listen to me and instead suspended my acct for Jun. It was my understanding I wouldn't have to pay for Jun since it wad suspended and I wasn't supposed to pay for May due to the previous mgr offer (leave a review and get a month free). Additionally, it was my understanding my acct would be canceled at the end of Jun to due medical issues. Guess what??? Not canceled and sent to a Collection Agency. The agency calls but doesn't leave a message so I think it is a scam. I ended up paying almost $250 and might have to pay for another month until my acct is closed.

The biggest scammers please do not fall in thier contract system. So many hidden charges and policy. They will deduct money after you cancell membership. Take freezing fees and never return it. Thiers loo are always dirty. They will charge money for the fob key and never return.

Shocking rip off merchants charge you a month's fees for cancelling.
