This gathering of artistic minds paired with the expertise of one of the industry’s creative yet analytical , musical minds was transformative. Five days of pure excellence, somehow woven in with the supportive and nurturing environment of fellow writers and musicians…simply a must-attend for those wanting to hone their craft.

Andrea Stolpe is not only an organized, thought-provoking teacher, she also considers her student's experience deeply and with empathy! I learned so much about kicking writers block and was reminded of some fun yet critical tools for songwriting.

Just came back from the Nashville retreat and what an incredible week it was! To be in an environment with like minded individuals and to learn from Andrea has been very helpful to my own writing and development.

The Writer to Writer retreat in Nashville was truly unforgettable. The insights and tools Andrea provided really unlocked my songwriting potential after a very long dry spell and her leadership showed me that I have a place in the music industry, even if I have yet to find my niche. Co-writing really pushed me out of my comfort zone and showed me just how much space there is for me to explore in my writing, and the connections I made with other writers are invaluable. I feel like myself again.

Amazing experience! we were in tears at the end because everyone attended created a bond...Andrea is a wonderful guide in the songwriting process and generous with information and open to us asking questions. This retreat gave me the encouragement and support I felt I was lacking before I got there.

Watching how you worked with a song writer to strip down their song to say less but be more impactful was the most beneficial teaching for me. And the co-writes went right along with it as we applied what we were taught.

For me, the workshop was about developing musical flexibility -- by which I mean being able to 'hear' a song that I'm working on in ways that are different than the first way that may have gotten 'stuck' in my head as I was writing it -- so that I can pick the best way to continue developing the song. The workshop did that for me and so much more. Andrea is a gifted facilitator with a genuine intention to help each person in the workshop write the best song as defined by them, rather than try to enforce a dogmatic approach to what a song 'should' be. I really felt that she was 'present with us in every moment, holding space for us as we took every step. And then there's the wonderful community of songwritings on the same journey...

This experience was exactly what I needed for my songwriting process. I learned so much about what I was doing right/wrong in my songwriting. I now feel confident about how I am going to move forward with my journey as a songwriter. I really recommend this for someone like me who felt like they have it in them to create songs but would just end up writing long poems. I am also a singer so I loved that she taught us about how the singing, the lyrics, and the melody can all make such a big difference in a song. Andrea told us she took from all the books. school, and experience she has and put it all together for us to learn. I feel grateful to have invested in this retreat because I never went to school or had any other background in the industry so this was super helpful. The community was great. I loved being surrounded by artists who also have a big love for music and am so thrilled to now have more connections.
