extremely inspiring! I got a lot of new insights about co-writing and the constructive elements of a song. Everything I've written so far was iintuitively - now I can 'generate' inspiration more easily and use a whole lot of tools to build a song. Not all fellow students were equally professional - but that was ok though

Andrea is an exceptional teacher, and I truly feel honored to have been in the room learning from her. Her knowledge, generosity, and ability to guide the creative process are remarkable. My only suggestion would be regarding the balance between collaborative writing and individual songwriting. I came to the retreat expecting to spend more time developing my own songs. While the collaborative writing exercises were valuable and taught me a great deal, I felt that one or two days of group writing might have been enough, leaving more time for participants to receive guidance on their own material. I realize this is a challenge with a group of 30 people, and I’m not sure what the best solution would be. One idea might be to have a daily lottery where a few participants are randomly selected to come to the front of the room and spend 20–30 minutes workshopping one of their own songs with Andrea. Even those not selected would likely learn a great deal by watching the process. Thank you so much for the entire experience. It was inspiring, educational, and deeply worthwhile. I would absolutely attend another retreat, especially if there were an opportunity for more work on participants’ own songs. Jo-Ann 🎼♥️

Because this app is amazing

This program has been mostly positive. I realize that they are still new and figuring things so I’m keeping that in mind. I would love to have more opportunities to work with Andrea and other high tier song writers. Also would love to have more guest speakers that are leaders in the industry like Benjamin Groff.

It’s good instruction and tips, and Andrea is clearly a professional in this area. Also, I have been learning a lot by listening to the feedback provided to other participants and from some of the songs posted.

Had a great week amazing people and very relaxing creating a good space for creativity. My only thing is that I had wished there would’ve been more time for songwriting but I know sometimes that’s out of anyone’s control. Thank you for an amazing week!

Wonderful retreat, I had an amazing time! Could have used another keyboard on site. Lol we sometimes were fighting over the two keyboards! Great instructor/instruction. So much fun to write and collaborate, share our songs and jam. The retreat facility was so so. Could’ve used maid service at least for one of the days during the week
