I have been dealing with Anderson Advisors Tax & Bookkeeping Department for over 3 years now, They are the worst outfit we have ever dealt with, we have had more quality of service, experience, and value from our previous notary publics that did our financials, including going through 2 successful financial audits and never had to file anything late or pay any type of fees or penalties, Dutch Docheve in the Tax department is so condescending and dismissive when we try to discuss our issues, they never admit they are wrong and they always blame the client for their lack of quality services and lack of value. 22 months after we had started to work with them we still had to be discussing and reminding them what we did in our businesses and to this day most of the people involve with our finances are clueless, mind you that all our businesses are very easy to understand and anyone reading this could understand what we do in 5 sentences or less, they don’t take the time to learn the clients needs so how can they truly help, serve, and advise. I have in desperation tried to reach other people for oversight on their services but I am still waiting on responses, it literally took over 1 year to have our 1st tax return (2019) from them and they had us sign it and rushed it through before the deadline so we could come back and fix it, problem was it was already past the deadline and the amendment was never addressed until late 2022 where they finally got 2019 redone, 2020 and 2021 submitted, past the deadline mind you, the worst part is, that we still had late penalties and other fees to pay and now we have realized a ton of mistakes in the recent ones that just got rushed through as well.

Anderson business advisors has the been the worst company I have ever worked with. I contracted with them in February of 2020 to do my taxes and end of life planning. I didn’t hear from them again until I called them, after I had been asked by my old account if I filed my extensions. I asked them if they filed it, they basically told me they forgot about me, and they had not filed it. I told them I needed to get my money back so I could go somewhere else, and they did issue me a refund for half. Fast forward, I received a bill from the IRS of $11,000 for not filing my extension for 2020. I have been trying to talk to someone for at least 6 months about this. They will not call me back. I continue to get emails letting me know that it is not their responsibility to file my extensions. If I wanted someone to do that for me, I should have gotten a tax partner. As of today, they still have not offered any guidance or any help in any way on how to fix this. The lady I spoke with today said the tax director will not call me back because he has nothing else to say.. he said everything he needed to say in his email.

We had our first consult with them in mid January. We felt like we were at a sales pitch and not having a conversation about our potential options. UPGRADE UPGRADE UPGRADE! It was not appealing, but it did seem like there were some options that may fit with what we need. However, be aware of all the things (and additional fees) that are NOT included in the upgrades. I would not call them hidden, because if you ask the right questions you will be told that is an additional fee - but you have to know what to ask, they are not forthcoming. We were told we'd be sent a contract to look over that would answer any remaining questions. I had to call and email for a week to get the contract sent. It was very vague, with hardly any information on what we were potentially paying for. Two weeks ago I sent an email with a list of simple clarifying questions to both the advisor and his assistant. I have gotten no response from either. But we do continue to get reminders to sign the contract they sent us. If you are into being upsold, encouraged to pay 10K plus for a product you are not quite sure you understand because the info you are given is vague, and then promptly ignored when you have questions, this is the firm for you! Not impressed. Customer service fail. RE response to this post: Kathy posted response below and called and left a message. I returned her call - two weeks ago - she has not called me back either.

I have been using Anderson for about 2 years now and as soon as they complete the current tasks I am planning on leaving and not looking back. Their customer service is replying to your email saying they are working on it. If you actually want to talk to someone, after numerous emails you may get someone to schedule a meeting in the next 4 weeks or so, if you are lucky. Asked them to complete a new LLC for me and 2 weeks later the response I get is they are working on it, my local attorney could complete the LLC in 1 or 2 days. Unless you have a lot of money to get to the top of the line be prepared to pay a lot of money and wait for any help as soon as the Anderson folks feel like doing something. Anderson ls working on 4 tax returns for me and I was told expect to wait for 6 to 10 weeks per return. So hope they are done in 40 weeks!!

The strategies outlined on youtube are fantastic but their customer service declines rapidly once they get you setup. They've been particularly nonresponsive the last year. (I've been a platinum member since 2018....costs $20k to sign up BTW) Example: I have been asking for months (apparently they just looked at it last week) for them to file my corporate taxes. My personal taxes were several months late despite me turning all the paperwork in time. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone and they don't respond to emails weeks at a time. Take this info and go to another CPA/Lawyer to implement these strategies!

purchased tax planning package on 8/6/2021. A few days later a coordinator told me that my phone session was scheduled on Sep. So I waited. However it turned out it's not a tax planning session that I have waited for and there's no availability until next year. I requested a refund, and the coordinator said someone will reach out to me to give me an appointment; a few days passed and nothing happened. contacted the coordinator again, and same answer. they are also very disorganized. They're supposed to set up a "box.com" account for me to upload tax returns, and they will cancel and tax planning session if client do not upload tax returns 3 days before the scheduled session time. I tried to log in multiple times but failed; contacted the coordinator, who asked me to contact box.com, which I did. So it turned out that they didn't set up the account for me! Contacted the coordinator again, and the answer is - someone will reach out to me. Again, a few days passed and no response.

Sales pitch was great. Response to mails and keeping up deadlines have been extremely BAD. The business advisor promised us that they would review our 2 year tax within 2-4 weeks but later scheduled it after 3 months. After having paid the sign-up amount, they ask us to select other stuffs which are not immediately required for us. Extremely disappointed after the initial interactions

Customer service is great and everyone is polite. The catch? GOOD LUCK if you're able to catch them. Emails are answered sporadically. Calls are returned in days. Was impressed w/ the webinars + presentations. But why gives an impression and the ability of a top notch service & company if you can't provide one?
