Not enough value for the price.
Rachel was very nice and professional, but the overall experience with Anderson Advisors was extremely disappointing. The package description for their Smart Tax Advisor service is extremely misleading. It sounds like you’re getting real guidance and hands-on support, but once you sign up you find out most of what you actually need costs extra. The pricing feels like a trap designed to upsell you into spending far more than you planned. I walked away feeling ripped off, because I didn’t get help with what I actually needed. Proceed with caution.

Free Strategy Session Failure
I set up a free strategy session with Seth Perlman for July 22, 2025, from 3.15 to 4 p.m. EST. I even received the meeting invite.
I waited for the call during that time but was ghosted. There was no follow-up email explaining or apologizing for being unable to make it.
Then, on July 23, 2025, I received another invite without speaking with me for 1 p.m. on July 24, 2025. I received the call from him on July 24, 2025, at 1 p.m., which is a time determined by someone unknown to me. I was not available for any much time, so we had to terminate the call.
I value everyone's time and would appreciate it if every professional valued everyone's time. Stuff happens, but that is where communication is key.
I know this was a FREE session, but I would prefer to pay for a session so that someone would value the time we agreed to.
I have watched Toby Mathis's videos, which are informative. That is why I was attempting to have a session with a legal and tax expert to create that blueprint.
This was my experience.

Run don’t walk
Run don’t walk! I don’t know who’s leaving these reviews but it does seem odd that many are rather new and appeared after I wrote mine and I have seen a lot of reviews in many forums that are poor and complain of similar experiences. I spent $12,000 on a useless membership. I should’ve trusted the negative reviews, I read and all of the red flags. When you question them, they send you in circles and then when you get serious they drop you after they’ve cost you thousands of dollars in mistakes and not one tax saving strategy explained or implemented as anybody could create useless LLCs. After I filled out a survey at their prompting, I rated it for what it was, which was a horrible experience. They asked me to elaborate my telling the truth, and perceived threat of litigation - because I was not getting anywhere with them and I was not getting any refund led to the most patronizing and degrading conversation I’ve ever had with an attorney and I only got a hold of an attorney because they didn’t like my email. Given improper returns that were not looked at properly and refused to help and said they could amend it later. I felt like I was talking to a used car salesman that was talking down to me like he was above me in every way after I filled out their satisfaction survey he kept saying “look I don’t want to get into the minutia” because if we did get into the minutia, you can’t explain yourself so the best defense is just to say you don’t want to get into the details because if you really did, you’d have to explain away things you can’t explain. But you will keep my $12,000 with no work done what appears to be an AI tax review or at best was useless because I paid for tax strategies - and except for useless LLCs I did not get what was promised. I also want to respond to the baseless below response by some unknown person, condensing my matter into a small paragraph. They violated the law by unilaterally canceling my contract without refund because I complained and threatened litigation only when I did not get what I contracted for. They blamed me for everything things that do not make sense. They offered a refund of a very small amount and still to date I have no tax strategy and now no membership because I complained that I wasn’t getting what I paid for which is my right. When you unilaterally canceled my membership, you have a duty to refund the entire amount not what you feel is fit. When I hired them in February, they absolutely said they could take on my returns and get them filed on time by October. There’s a whole blog about it even on Reddit. There’s the Better Business Bureau complaints. There is extensive reviews that mirror mine. We can’t all be wrong. The tax advisor actually said to me at the end of the conversation that he had one last thing to say, and that was I am ending this call. I begged for a error free return to be amended prior to October 15th begged for tax saving strategies or even to get my properties protected. All never completed. If you think a two year tax review that looks like it came out of AI that tells you your risk of certain areas to them is tax strategies. Well then save yourself the $12,000 and put your returns into AI because it would do a better job than what I received. It appears on taxes at best they farm your stuff out where I’m not really sure. You’ll be put in an endless loop of circles and how dare you keep $12,000 for creating three useless LLCs and providing not only no tax saving strategies but actually costing me the most taxes I’ve ever paid.

Unfortunately, your claims are not accurate. Our tax leadership and legal teams have thoroughly researched your account and have spoken with you directly regarding this matter several times.
We take the accuracy and integrity of our tax preparation services very seriously. After thoroughly reviewing your return, we can confirm it was prepared accurately based on the financial records you provided. You’ve since indicated that there may be additional documentation that was not provided at the time your return was prepared. We have offered to amend your return as a gesture of goodwill, however, you have not provided the new documentation.
As explained, the penalties you incurred were due to a failure on your part to make estimated tax payments for the 2023 tax year by the IRS deadline of April 15, 2024. You engaged our services in March 2024; as such, your previous CPA would not only have let you know about the estimated payment requirements, but it was also included in your 2022 tax return that the other CPA firm prepared. It is ultimately the responsibility of each taxpayer to ensure the timely payment of estimated taxes. While we are here to support our clients, we cannot be held accountable for payments that were due before the start of our engagement, nor can we make estimated payments on behalf of our clients.
Additionally, your account has been reviewed to identify any services that have yet to be fulfilled, and a refund is being processed for unused services. However, we stand by the services that have been rendered, as they were completed thoroughly and are not eligible for a refund, as we have explained.

I didn’t even make it through 5 mins of…
I didn’t even make it through 5 mins of the consult. The lady I spoke with was rude and acted like I was inconveniencing her and her time. Oddly she was unable to describe the services offered or ask any pertinent questions to get to a basic discussion on what would be applicable for our situation.
As a business owner I honestly had to laugh. If I had people doing intakes like I just experienced I’d be broke!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I understand you are disappointed with the quality of the consult. We aim to ensure our consultations are both informative and professional, and it sounds like this session didn’t meet those expectations.
To better align with your needs, I would like to offer to schedule a consultation with one of our senior advisors, who can provide a more tailored and thorough discussion regarding the services relevant to your situation. We truly value your time and interest, and I believe we can deliver a more productive experience moving forward.
Please let me know if you're open to arranging a time, and we’d be happy to accommodate your schedule. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Don't Be Fooled by These "Stellar" Reviews. Here is a REAL REVIEW from a REAL TENURED CLIENT.
This is A REAL REVIEW from a tenured client.
Most of the reviews here seem to be reviews JUST for seminars and workshops. Beware, once you sign up, Anderson is NOT the company it claims to be supporting your business. It has been the MOST TRAUMATIZING and MOST EXPENSIVE vendor we've ever worked with, due to the financial damages they have cost us with IRS "failure-to-file" penalties and fees.
READ ON BELOW:
-------
The number of what seems to be malpractice complaints about this company is staggering. We were at the highest tier of service for many years (5+ years) and now here we are, joining the many other businesses and clients that have LOST TONS OF MONEY due to Anderson's negligence (see other reviews on Yelp, Reddit, BBB). Anderson refuses to admit that they failed to file our tax extensions correctly when there is overwhelming proof that they failed to do so despite multiple reassurances from them that they did file the extensions. You hire a company because you trust them to do what you hired them to do, so you can run your business. But NOT Anderson! They claim to be "tax experts," but they do not really know how to manage complex tax filings, and you end up with a huge penalty bill (failure to file penalty) and having to clean up the mess they've made and then ultimately, have the nerve to point the finger at you and deny everything. I've spoken to a handful of other tax professionals and they all agree that this was a case of malpractice. What a sham. I communicated multiple times to avoid penalties and ENSURE they filed extensions, and they reassured me that it was extended - and I trusted them. Now we see that many other businesses have suffered through something similar. Their negligence and incompetence are appalling, and they will twist and bend the truth to defend their failures and sleazy business practices. The truth is coming out in all these reviews. Their ineptitude goes beyond their TAX SERVICES TEAM but includes ALL ASPECTS OF THEIR BUSINESS OPERATIONS -- from inaccurate billing, late registered agent filings, delayed bookkeeping and tax filings, and poor response times from their legal team --- it goes on and on. These issues have prevailed over the past 2+ years and despite many constructive feedback we've provided before all of this blew up, they keep pretending as if they have done nothing wrong. Just look at the reviews here and their BBB complaints. Perhaps, they have so many malpractice claims that they refuse to cover any more under their insurance and have just resorted to dodging customer complaints with misleading posts, letters and responses. We feel that Anderson is a malicious, evil company that will lie and bend the truth, at every turn. Be warned - they are wolves in sheep's clothing and will turn all "lawyer-y" on you in the end. This company is bereft of good leadership and has no accountability. In the end, they are EVIL operators who will act in BAD FAITH and have been reduced to a company run by questionable people. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE'VE MADE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS NIGHTMARE OF A COMPANY. One thing you can rely on though --- is to expect a misleading, off-tangent reply from their Customer Advocacy Team, like they do with all other negative comments on here.

Waste of Time
Waste of time. Spent 30 minutes in the phone explaining. After she told me she’s going to email me the strategy and follow up. Never received an email nor a call !

High expectations, but very disappointed.
There were several things that caused me consternation, but the two largest, standing head and shoulders above the others, was the presentation explaining your services, then selling Platinum as being inclusive, but then it does not include all the things that had just been discussed in the last hour and indicated as part of the service. Then selling Titanium, but I had to pay for Platinum to find out the cost of Titanium, but I only had a few moments to get one of the limited slots. It changed from sounding like a legitimate service for professionals to a snake-oil sale at a traveling county fair. What if buying was like that at the supermarket?
Thus I was forced to look on the Interwebs to see what others said, and it was not good. Many reviews were from people "planning" to buy, so I posted my review of "not planning" to buy. Many said that the consult call was just hard-sales and not a planning session, as indicated. Many despaired of slow progress, difficulty scheduling work and many other communication and performance problems. Refunds sounded very difficult or impossible to process. The presenters made it sound like they are on the front lines helping clients, but the reviews reveal that they are busy drinking $2000 bottles of wine and ignoring clients. If the service is good, then I'm in. If it has to sell this hard, it sounds like an organization looking to hard-sell weak-minded individuals. Obviously, you can easily see how this looks from outside the carnival. The world is full of shysters selling snake oil. The reviews point in that general direction. Why so many negative reviews? Could you not make these individuals happy? Why refuse them the refund promised when services were nonexistent? Obviously they gave you thousands of dollars. Perhaps this only buys a few bottles of wine and is not worth bothering with. I tried to contact the company. If my experience changes, I will update this review.

We appreciate your feedback and understand you choose not to move forward with Anderson. We know Anderson is not the right company for every investor and business owner. The presentation we provide for 8 hours on a Saturday is 100% free and we've received great comments on Trustpilot and other sites about how much the presentation is packed full of useful information. All for free. Yes, we do offer a limited number of people access to our services during each of the presentations. This is our way of being able to afford to provide the free information to everyone that wants and needs it. We also offer a 100% money back guarantee. If someone is not satisfied with our services we give them their money back, no questions asked. This has served us well for the last 23 years in business.
I assure you and those reading this, that we are not the organization you describe in your review, which is based solely on the online event. We take care of our clients and when we fall short from time to time, we do everything we can to fix it. If our client is still not happy we provide their money back. This has allowed us to maintain an A+ rating with the BBB and high ratings on all the review sites online.
