I wear black tights all winter and these are the best! I work on a college campus, lots of walking from one building to another. The Ames Walker light compression tights make all the difference! They're silky soft, perfectly dyed (no streaks or blotches), and just the right weight and opacity for daily wear. Plus, they fit! The waist is comfortable, no pinching or rolling, and they don't squeeze my toes or shift around in the feet. These are definitely the Cadillac of tights--worth every penny.

The sizing chart showed only the XL size to fit a size 13 foot - so I ordered the XL. My calf was also in the threshold inches for XL, however the socks will not stay up over the calf, and customer service just said - "You bought them too big". Wasn't happy with their lack of concern. After posting this review, I was immediately contacted by Ames Walker, and they are replacing the two pair I can no longer wear, with a smaller size. They also sent me a return label to return those at no cost. The lady was very nice and apologized for my first interaction, so I am changing my rating - however, I am certain they have my return by now, but I have not seen my replacements.

I love Ames Walker compression hose. I wear them every day. Alternate between 20-30 and 30-40mmHg depending on level of edema. They are made in the USA. Very durable. They don't run. Wish Ames Walker would make their sheer support pantyhose in navy. I wear the black and the beige every day. Wash them in a mesh bag in the washer and hang to dry.

Ames Walker is a trusted company. My husband has worn their socks for years and following melanoma surgery, I have also needed compression stockings. The quality is excellent. I like the variety of colors offered. I have some stockings from other companies, but the ones I reach for and wear every day are the ones from Ames Walker.
