Horrible service. Need 10 calls and 10 emails for a follow up on site-survey. When called, they give appointment out 3 weeks to come. Every other day AmeriGas truck is in my neighborhood for some work. When called they say my home route is not in the list for next 3 weeks. Laid back and do not care attitude.

Before Covid they were a good company. You could talk to your local people and they would take care of you, they actually wanted your business. Now they claim that Covid closed all their local offices and they have created this "phone center" that has no contact with the district offices that provide the propane. The Phone Center is just trying to keep the customers calm and the district offices have absolutely no accountability to the customer or the phone center. You can be on the list one day for delivery and they just decide not to deliver. They give you a two week window for delivery and usually do not start to tell you that you are on the route until well after that and then don't deliver until 2-3 weeks later. Has happened to us 3 times now where I scheduled at 40% (should not have to schedule so early) and do not get a fill until 5% or even 3%. In my opinion they are not set up to do this line of work anymore. I receive no call backs from anyone. I am considering buying my tank, but cannot get anyone to return my calls. May have to present them with papers. Either way, consider seriously before you go with Amerigas right now, their new system is so messed up that I will not be surprised if the company fails in the next year or two.

We ran out of propane in December and they changed their system to where you can't call the local office. After calling and being on hold for over an hour without anyone picking up, (never responded to emails either) and trying for two days, we switched to Pro Flame. Turns out they're cheaper. And you can actually call them. Amerigas then charged me a $70 service fee to come get their own tank, for me canceling because I couldn't get a hold of anyone. In the contract I signed 4 years ago it did state they'd charge this fee, but it was $39 back then. They refused to waive it. It's like they're trying to chase customers away and make them never want to come back. Great company. /s

A new account was setup in Dec of 2020. A site survey was required and tentatively scheduled for two weeks later. No contact was made. Called the company about 3 weeks later and a service appt was setup for 6 weeks into the future since they were busy. No contact was made. Called today and cancelled the service agreement and requested a refund of site survey cost. Customer service is lacking, I was transferred and redirected twice and even on the last call the person had to put me on hold to see if I could get refunded. Do your research and ask the customer service questions.

Truly appalling lack of customer service. I wanted to set up service for a little Forest Service cabin on Mt. Hood Oregon. Called, got pricing, got the reps email to reach out to confirm things (weird), set up an appt, and then, they didn't show up, didn't reach out, the rep never responded to multiple emails. So, called again to see if I could set up an appointment, got entirely different (more expensive) pricing, set up an account and an appt. Once again, no show, no call/text/email, nothing. The way the calls went with the reps makes me think Amerigas is just a numbers game and not in the business of serving customers.

The truck delivering my tank cracked my driveway and I can't get the company to call me back. Their customer service is terrible. I've been told someone would call me back dozens of times and no one has.

I wish I could give them zero stars. If you are considering AmeriGas for propane heating of your house I cannot stress enough to use someone else even if it is more expensive. I never leave reviews for anything but the customer service was so horrendous I would not want anyone to have to work with this company. RUN! We are signed up for automatic refills of our propane tanks that heat our house. Our propane has now gone to zero for the second time. The first time it took 48+ hours for someone to come refill our tanks because of a mistake on paperwork by the call center (story for another time). This time, it is currently 72 hours. We were told someone would fill our tanks the first day we called and they assured us someone would call me before hand, but no one ever called or came. Our house was at 45 degrees inside so we went to a family members house down the road the next day and AmeriGas filled our tanks when we were not there and did not call us. We came home and unaware the tanks were filled, continued to wait for delivery. We called multiple times and were assured that the delivery would be coming soon, despite the tanks already being filled. I finally checked the tanks and realize they were filled, but there is no heat. After 4 calls, we find out the reason is they need to do a gas leak check before turning tanks back on and we need to be home for that. So no one ever called to let us know they were coming, filled the tanks, but cut the supply off. So we called to have a technician do a safety check. We were assured they would come and we would receive a call back. No one has ever called us when they say someone will call back by the way, so I called the next morning (now 72 hours since we have had heat and pipes could freeze). We were told a technician would call within 30 minutes.... 2 hours pass. We call again... assured a technician will call in an hour. another 3 hours pass and no call... So 72 hours+ without heat and under 40 degrees in the house and no line of sight to getting a technician out here. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. The incompetence is almost comical. I have spent the last 72+ hours on the phone with them (mostly on hold) and no one ever has an answer to anything. By the way -- they also charged me double the first time they filled our tanks after it went to zero. By far and away the worst company in America.
