If I could give them a no stars I would. They charge so many extra fees I cant believe its legal. Every year they charge to lock in a price. If you dont want to lock in the price and dont respond to the request, they charge a late fee to cancel something you never even signed up for. This happens every June. In addition, they charged me a year for a tank rental after I cancelled my service. I had to pay a YEAR rental fee on a tank that they had already picked up on a cancelled account!! Big company so you are forced to pay or it affects your credtit. Its actually unbelievable. It cost hundres of dollars just to cancel service. Years of crazy fees and the highest prices, I am finally free of this horrible company!!! Please...DO NOT USE THEM PERIOD!!!!!!! I cant believe people can work for this company. The employees no how they scam the extra money from thier customers. Just ask them when you call. #neveramerigas

The WORST utility company; actually the worst business I've every had to deal with. As others have stated, they try to get you on the lease fee every year, even though there is no fee if you buy a certain amount of gas each year. Their customer service is terrible. They would rather loose me as a customer then honor the coupon I got in the mail to save $100 because the coupon was going to expire one month prior to when my yearly lease fee cycle started. After I told them I would cancel, they asked what they could do to change my mind..... (Duh???) I switched providers and saved well over $100 due to their inflated prices AND I have NO LEASE FEE to worry about. After I cancelled my service, it took them over 2 months to come get the tank and then they charged me a tank pick-up fee after I stored it on my property for 2 months. Do your homework and find a different provider. There are plenty of options that have way better service and prices. Whatever you do STAY CLEAR of AMERIGAS. I have heard many of the same complaints from many other former customers in my area. Not one person has ever said anything good about them. They don't even deserve one star.

We are a small local business. We were to be serviced on a biweekly basis (every two weeks) today is 7/27/21 and we have not been serviced since 7/2/21. When calling to ask for the company to come fill our cylinders we were told we cannot get serviced until our NEXT service date of 7/30/21!!!! Never mind that they SKIPPED our service on 7/16/21!!! I was hung up on by an AmeriGas customer service representative ROBERT, when I called back to talk to a manager I was told by another customer service rep. MARY that there were no managers available. I contacted the corporate (1-800 number) low and behold, I was able to speak to a manager (Thank you ANGELA who successfully found the "non-available" manager!) AMY who stated she will get with distribution and have someone come IMMEDIATELY and said she will follow up with me. Here we are with our production DOWN due to empty propane cylinders and NO RETURN CALL!!!! This company does NOT value their customers and I haven't even gotten into the erroneous invoices that took WEEKS almost A MONTH to correct. I do NOT recommend this company AT ALL!!!! If I could give ZERO STARS I most certainly would!

This company is horrible. I have been trying for 3 weeks to cancel my account and have them come and pick-up their tank. I am told I have a date for the tank removal only for that date to come and go and I still have the tank!

Four years ago our previous propane delivery company sold out to Amerigas. Amerigas raised propane price from $1.78/gal to $2.50. Plus, Amerigas put in 4 new 500 gallon tanks (we’re a Catholic convent that heats 34 small bldgs) to replace my older 1,000/gal tanks. Then Amerigas wouldn’t transfer propane from those older tanks to new ones. The connections aren’t compatible with their equipment, Amerigas claims. Even though Amerigas fills the 4 new tanks on the same delivery they charge us for four delivery charges! The old company never charged a delivery fee. We’re firing Amerigas. But call center reps with accents difficult to understand say we can’t because there’s a verbal contract to keep them for another 2 yrs. “Nonsense” says the new propane company we hired.

If I could give this company a zero I would. This company has the worlds worst customer service. I quit using them eight months ago because I could never get through on the telephone and would be placed on hold for up to two hours. I have tried for eight months to get them to come pick up their tank. They say they will have someone contact me each time I called and no one ever contacts me. You are a fool if you do business with this company. It is the worst decision I’ve ever made in my life. They are absolutely horrible. Buyer beware.

If I could give zero I would. The customer service sounds like it’s in India. Tremendous delay on the phone line made it almost impossible to communicate. The woman just kept repeating from a script. I have had previous, equally frustrating, dealings with this company and recommend that anyone looking for propane choose someone else. These people are awful.

ABSOLUTELY HORRID COMPANY. We moved into our new home ten months ago. Since then, we have already ran out of gas 3 times and are now on our second gas leak! It took them almost an entire week to come fix the leak after several phone calls made by my husband and myself. They could care less that we were without hot water for that long. Also, to say they have awful customer service is an understatement. They never follow up. They all have different answers. Could never confirm a day or time with me for an appointment. Gave me answers such as, "There is nothing we can do. It's in our area managers hands." They also don't keep their records straight. My husband had to call in three different times to add me (again) as authorized to speak on the account. Anyways, they finally fixed our regulator, but left it sticking up out of the ground and the lid completely open too. I called about it one week ago, and still no one has come out to correct it. AmeriGas is also the most expensive company and they suck! They are currently charging us $3.42 per gallon when the company we are switching to currently charges $2.89! Avoid AmeriGas at all costs! They will only cause you alot of aggravation and frustration. Oh and if you run out of gas or have a gas leak - GOOD LUCK. Plan to be out of hot water for weeks.
