Worst company on planet earth. No close second. I'm done with them now and bought a tank and pay have as much for gas. No other company can match their badness.

Be warned. This company is deceptive. I called the office to report a strong gas odor in the yard and followed the requested prompts for gas leaks, to speak with customer service. She didn’t tell me that when the tank is very low 5/10%, it’s normal to smell the remaining dissipating gas. She didn’t tell me we could check for a leak ourselves. She put in a service call to check for a leak and didn’t tell me that there was a $69.99 charge for service dispatch fee, plus a $116.00 charge to squirt liquid bubbles, you know, like the ones kids play with, around the value to see if a bubble formed. It didn’t. I closed my account and requested that they pick their tank, which I pay annual rent on, and they don’t do an annual routine service check on, and was told I would be charged the magic number of $69.99 for the pick up. Upon checking to see what the propane rate was in my state I discovered I was being charged twice as much. They closed all there local offices, so no more rent overhead or payroll and all calls lead to a phone bank. $$$$$$. I’ve requested arbitration. Check out their terms and conditions page. It says for gas leaks, call them or 911 or get an LP kit to check it yourself. Talk about covering their ass. We’ll see. Went to my local MFA. An actual office with humans and half the price.

Amerigas took over the company I was with for years. Went double on price. Made a delivery I didn't request, because I was changing to a new company. Charged me $3.10 per lb of propane (new company @ $1.85) Told them I didn't want there gas. New company notified them ahead of time. Sorry can't refund returned gas. I have called over and over. The company LIES over and over. Worst company with which I have ever done business. Every person I talk with I tell them not to deal with Amerigas. You would have to be an idiot to use them for gas service.

I wish I can say that I have something new to add to all these reviews but it's just going to be a broken record. We were with this company for one month after which we decided to go with another local company because of the terrible customer service. We requested they remove the tank and never heard back from them. It took them 6 months to finally remove the tank after which we received an invoice for the removal fee which we were never informed of when we first contracted with them. We challenged the fee due to lack of transparency and the fact that it took 6 months to remove it from our property. They responded back saying that they would consider the request to waive the fee. The next thing we know is 2 months later they send us a late fee on top of the original bill. We are contesting this as well. Ditto to what everybody is saying do not use this company.

Horrible!!!!! Do not use this company!! They charged me for coming out and doing a safety check at my new home and "topping off the gas". Within a short time, I was out of gas. When I tried to request a refill, They had entered the wrong delivery address. I explained that I was out of gas and they said there was nothing they could do until the "change of address" was complete. 24 hours later, the business office still hadn't changed the delivery address. I had no choice but to change companies. Ferrell Gas had someone out the next morning! I requested I get my money back for the service billed, but obviously never performed. We will see if it arrives in 2 weeks. Avoid this company at all cost!!!

Worst company I have ever done business with. First time out to deliver the tank they smacked my house with it and dented my trim. Of course they did nothing. Had to wait three yrs for contract to run out so I could cancel. Then they charged me 69 bucks to pick up the tank, and 150 to pump out the gas I had paided for. That's after they just showed up before I had gotten another CO. Thanks to the nice guy that worked for them he called me and told me he would come after I got another CO. Horrible, horrible, and just try calling them and getting someone to talk to you. Ha.

my God this company is bad,l was given a price then when the bill came in it was over charged then l contacted them and l was talk to like l was stupid,l am filing with BBB,,what ever you do you better think again before dealing with America gas

I leased a tank and purchased gas from this company for over 10 years. Back In February I called them as I had just had my tank filled like in December and I have never filled the tank more than twice a year. Sometimes once a year as we normally only use our gas stove top. We have gas logs but only use them when the temp gets down around 10 or lower. I contacted and requested that they send someone in Feb to check my tank and gauge as the tank showed under 10%. I suspected a bad gauge or a leak in their leased equipment or on my side. No way I had used that much gas in under 2 months. They told me 2 weeks before they could come out but they would attach a $250 charge. I had my home checked and I had no leaks. So, the rest of the equipment is leased making it their responsibility to maintain. After arguing With them several times I contacted another supplier and terminated my service with Amerigas. The new company set the tank, the regulator, filled the tank, and charged me a lease fee that totaled to less than having Amerigas come out and check their own equipment. And they did it within 3 days of my request and if I call them an AMERICAN answers the phone by the third ring in an office less than 10 miles from my home. Not a Foreigner after a 45 minute wait. On Feb 13th Amerigas told me to expect a refund check for the tank lease. I had paid for a full years lease in December so they owed me back at least 10 months of the payment that I had already paid them. I was told that the check would be in the mail within 10 to 15 days and the tank would be picked up within 15 days. It’s August 9th and I just got off the phone with them. This is about the 8th time I’ve called them and each call is a 45 minute wait before their Indian/Pakistani???? rep picks up and tells me that they will expedite my check and tank pick up. 6 months and 8 calls in and I still have not received a check and the tank still sits in my drive. Today I told their rep to contact me back within 48 hours to let me know when to expect my reimbursement check to arrive and when the tank will be picked up. If I don’t hear from them within 48 hours I’m going to have an attorney send them a nice certified letter notifying them Of how much I’m charging Amerigas for storing their tank on my property. I’m considering putting the word out and having everyone with similar situations in my area to participate and add their names to the letter. Maybe that will wake them up???? I hate to be like that but this company has had zero regard for me or even whether or not I could heat my home when a snow storm came in this past February that shut our area down for several days. I had to go buy two small bullet propane heaters and a couple of small gas grill tanks to run them. That’s what kept my house warm for three days and nights until the new company could come and set a new tank and fill it. They would have been here next day if the roads hadn’t been covered with ice and snow. I will never do business with Amerigas again even if their per gallon gas price is 1/3 that of a local competitor. I’m sticking with a local Company that will answer the phone, has an office right down the road that is accessible to customers, and will respond when I need help. In the 10 plus years I had my business with Amerigas, only 1 time did I call with an emergency situation and the only response I got was to wait 2 weeks for someone to get here and be billed an extra $250 for them to come out. I probably talked to their reps 4 different times before I terminated service. I spent well over an hour on the phone with each call and got ZERO help. I’m done with them but only after they reimburse my lease money and pick up the tank. At this point I’m about ready to hook a chain to the tank and pull it to their local office and drop it in their parking lot. Yes, I am that frustrated with them. Stay away from this propane supplier. Nothing they tell u comes true. Also, an existing customer can call and go thru the automated service and it takes forever to speak to a rep. In my case each call was at least a 45 minute wait before anyone picked up. However, call in and go thru the automated prompts like a potential new customer and you will have a rep on the phone by the third ring. Folks, once they have your business you no longer exist to them. You go straight to the back burner. This is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with from a service standpoint. I have been told over and over that my check would be mailed within ten days and the tank picked up in 15 days or less. At one time they actually told me the tank had been picked up. I was standing in my drive looking at the tank when they told me that. Today’s phone call ended just like all the previous calls. Their system shows my account still in the process of being closed and no idea when I will get a check or the tank will get gone!!! In 48 hours I’m turning this over to my attorney. I feel I have no other choice!!
