We ran out of propane. Called early o Thurs and was told refill would be expedited and we would be contacted within 24 hrs. It’s a day and a half since and no contact received. Trying to get in touch to get help or explanation is a complete joke. After repeated calls answered by poor speaking foreigners, all we get is that gas will be delivered today, but today is over. No legit responses, broken promises, and general no give a damn. Go anywhere else if can find a supplier that isn’t part of this conglomerate.

AmeriGas puts the pain in propane. I have the exact same issues others are noting here: I made multiple calls in the last 3 weeks including daily for a week, multiple text messages from them assuring I will have a delivery within 24 hours, "customer experience advocate" is a new title they made up because they provide no actual customer service, asked for local contact and they won't provide it, asked for a supervisor and transferred to sales, then to a dept that was "closed" and auto hung up on me. Was to be my 1st order. The tank needs 350-400 gal filled annually, so they clearly aren't doing the math on the long-term losses. Honestly the most run-around I have ever had from a company! Called Douglass Distributing - problem solved

Terrible. Outrageous rental fees for tanks. Customer service can’t figure out how to properly close an account and pick up a tank. Still fighting with them to close the account on a picked up tank and stop sending invoices

6 different calls with AmeriGas using their primary number. 11/22 - promised it would be delivered within 7 days, probably much earlier, guaranteed a call before they came RESULT: No call, no delivery 11/30 - promised it would be delivered TODAY, guaranteed a call before they came RESULT: No call, no delivery 12/2 - promised it would be delivered "today or tomorrow", guaranteed a call before they came RESULT: No call, no delivery 12/5 - promised it would be delivered "today or tomorrow", guaranteed a call before they came RESULT: No call, came 3 days after they promised. As a result I was not there so they could do the safety check so they left the propane interrupted with various dire warnings if I were to turn it on myself. 12/12 - promised the safety check would come 12/14 very first thing (I emphasized I was leaving on a trip and was now delaying my trip until 9am on 12/14 - they said no problem it would definitely be done by that time) 12/13 - called to confirm the appointment and was told I had no appointment scheduled. The customer service rep was very polite (as all have been) and offered to schedule an appointment on 12/16. I pointed out that I would be on my trip at that point and that I had been promised an appointment on 12/14. She said there was nothing she could do - 12/16 was the earliest appointment she had. I pointed out that this was the 6th time AmeriGas had promised something and failed to keep their promises and that I needed to speak to a supervisor. Multiple (!) times she tried to tell me that 12/16 was the earliest and that the supervisor was busy and she couldn't get through and it would be better to just accept the 12/16 appointment. Multiple times I pointed out that I no longer believed what customer service was saying because of the evidence (see above). Eventually after a long (!) wait she came back for the 3rd time and told me the supervisor was unavailable and offered to give me a callback "within an hour". I gave her my number and got her name and am now waiting for the supervisor callback. Now the time for the guaranteed supervisor callback has passed and no call back. Not surprised anymore.

The worst—-despite MULTIPLE phone calls over several weeks, have not been out to fill our tank which is now almost empty. Customer served LIED stating that someone will be out on a certain day, and when they don’t show up, the next person says they will be out the next afternoon and to expect a call. When they still don’t show up, the next person the following day assures that we are definitely on the schedule and to expect a call that afternoon—but then no one calls. After speaking with a supervisor, we are told we are not on the schedule and the next available appointment isn’t for 3 weeks—meanwhile, it’s been 3 weeks that we’ve been trying to schedule and we are almost out of propane. I read the multiple other poor reviews and see that the company just doesn’t care.

Terrible company. Could not fulfill a tank fill order within 3 weeks of call. When I canceled they charged all kinds of BS charges. Customer service agents are rude and useless.

Terribly. Was supposed to be on automatic refill, thought of checking my gauge and was at 6%! Called and got delivery date which came and went, more calls, more lies. 3 days after last promise and still nothing! So concerned with getting verifying contact info but they don’t use it. Turn on electric heater and call a different company- they SUCK!!!
