By far, it's the worst company I've ever dealt with. I only need to say this. My furnace and hot water tank run off propane. They let their tank go empty in the middle of winter. They never came to full it no matter how many times I called them. If I were an elderly or disabled person with no family, I could've froze to death. Oh, I'll add a kicker. Their call center/customer service is overseas. They won't transfer you to the local office. You have to say you're opening a new account to reach them. Total lying scumbags

I don't think it makes any difference because Amerigas bought my local propane supplier and they both do the same thing. They'll give you some some lame excuse about the temperature and will always underfill or claim that your tank is less full than it was and rip you off for 20 to $30. Then they'll say Oh well that's regulated by the truck the driver can only put in what the truck said. yeah I'm sure that's true but when they say you had less in your tank then you did that doesn't make any difference.

The worst. Simply the worst. Do business with someone else. I had a propane tank installed at my home - which I purchased, didn't lease - thru an AmeriGas sales rep. When I called to have the tank filled, they told me they were charging me to inspect the safety of the tank before filling it. EVEN THO IT WAS BRAND NEW & THEIR PEOPLE INSTALLED IT! Fast forward a couple months, and I find out they charged me more than they quoted me over the phone, had been sending notices to the wrong address, had charged a bunch of late fees, and sent me to collections. No calls. No emails. No online portal. No way for me to know prior to the collections notification. TOTAL GARBAGE! Please don't use this company.

They can't even speak ENGLISH! ! We needed a new valve at the company warehouse at our Arkansas plant and we can't even get someone to tell us a list of locations or phone numbers because all the know to say is account number and no walk in !!!!! Good Grief! !!!! Who Runs A Company like THAT! !!! WORTHLESS

One star is too high a rating for the problems I’ve had with Amerigas. My account was initially set up where I could not request a refill. They would come out when they thought I needed a refill. We were recently expecting a cold snap so I checked the tank level. It was in the red zone on the gauge at about 18%. I called the local number and was routed to a call center that apparently was not American. I explained that I needed a refill and was told it would be 7 to 10 business days before a truck came out. The following Sunday I received an automated call saying the truck would be at my home the next day. It never showed up. Long story short, I received two other automated calls on different days saying the delivery would the next day. The truck never came on either of those days. I then called the local number and the person who looked at my file said she “promised” the truck would be at my home the next day. Once again, it never showed up. I decided to go with another provider that has a local office with actual people I could go into if I needed anything. That company said the new tank would be delivered in three days. They showed up the next day. I called Amerigas and told them to pick up their tank. To add further insult, they are going to charge me $150 to pick up their tank. If another option besides Amerigas is available, take it. Over the years, I’ve had some bad experiences with various companies, but none were ever as bad as how Amerigas handled my situation.

If there was a zero I would enter it. Twice in the last 6 months I have ordered propane and they have failed to deliver until I was dangerously low. My home is in Wyoming. North West Wyoming and Amerigas puts me on hold an indefinitely long time. In addition, we don't deal with the local company in Jackson, Wyoming, only with the call center in the Philippines

Horrible customer service. No one can explain anything. We switched companies after a year of putting up with Amerigas. They are still charging us and very rude when we try to speak to anyone. No one hardly speaks English and you never get a customer service representative from your local propane company. Ridiculous people. There are so many options and we will never use them again. I'd rather burn wood in my home. Please choose a different company, so many issues with this one

We have a seasonal cabin in Mt. Pleasant, UT and have used Amerigas for the past 15 years without incident. And then the incident happened. We received a bill that wasn't ours. It was for 3 times more propane than our tank can hold and our tank was never even filled. All of our attempts to resolve the issue has fallen on deaf ears. We cannot speak directly to Amerigas since the only phone number goes to a call center. We are told the matter will be resolved in 5 to 7 days, then nothing happens. We used the website to log our issue, we have sent a letter to the correspondence address, all without getting any response. We have now been turned over to a collection agency; we promptly filed a disput with all of our evidence that this is not our bill, and got no response, just a second demand. It's all good until that something happens and there is no communication from the actual company and they start damaging your good credit but refuse to provide a method of actually communicating with the company instead of a call center that works off a script and doesn't have the authority to solve an actual problem. If you have another option for a propane company I suggest you go with someone else.
