I started in March of 2026. They continue to to draft payment from my account and nobody contacts me. I phone and get no reply most of the time and a sales boy named Paul Kim misrepresented most everything when I initially contacted them. I am now getting IRS levi notices and when this happened I sent American Tax notice that I wanted several documents that if they were working on my case they should have. The IRS is coming after me and these people continue to debit my account for doing nothing after I have given written notice no to do. I do not recommend this company. They are frauds

This company helped me when I was down and out and ready to throw in the towel on back Federal taxes and taxes that I owed. They eliminated the taxes and signed me up for hardship. When my consultant Blanca Chanes called me and explained to me what was going on I suddenly felt a relief and stress rise off my shoulders. She worked so many hours and days on my case to help me eliminate this tax problem. She was so helpful, I would recommend this company to anyone who is drowning in tax problems… Thanks American Tax Defense, and thank you Blanca Chanes for an outstanding job well done.

American Tax Defense was Great to work with. They started my taxes in February. Alex Reynoso went through the entire process. Once I was sent to a case Manager. I went though three. The only Greatr case manager was Jessie. Jessie is an amazing case Manager. They finalize my taxes yesterday. Since I over paid the owe me a refund of $5,500.00 back on to my American Express card. Once I recieve that we will be square. They were a wonderful Company to work with. Alex and Jessie were Amazing. American Tax Defense has talented people working for them and I would recommend them to everyone. :)

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I thought the good reviews outweighed the bad reviews but I should have never agreed to have these guys “ help” us. Now that I have had such a terrible experience with them I know to trust the bad reviews and steer clear !!! I write this as a warning for others! ….. This was called Amity 1 before the name was changed to American Tax Defense We paid nearly $6,000 to get relief that we were told could be our taxes greatly reduced or even forgiven! Well neither of those things happened but it was over a year of filling out forms and gathering statements and info just like getting audited . We kept getting passed on to different case managers only to be asked to fill out more forms etc… after over a year the resolution they came up with was getting us in a non collectable status with the irs but we still owe all of it plus more as there are penalties snd late fees that accrued even more throughout the year they took to get our taxes filed. Now there is a lien on our home!!! And the price owed keeps going up! I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL!! Oh yeah, and they accidentally sent me somebody else’s personal info papers! They were sent to me along with mine! Yikes!! Makes me wonder how often that happens! That alone should have made me run from any more involvement with them. Big mistake! Clark was very nice but what he told us they could do for us did not happen in ANY way or form. We trusted him! Cody seemed nice but did not help us get any tax reduction resolution either. We ended up owing more in the long run along with having had paid them nearly $6k . Some help they were! STEER CLEAR OF THESE PEOPLE!!! AWFUL EXPERIENCE !!! Nightmare!!!

American tax defense is nothing but a bunch of liars. When I originally signed up, I was informed I would have to do nothing and they would handle everything. Well, after they got all the funds required, I was informed that I had to contact the IRS to resolve the ID problems I spoke about when I signed the contract. That is a breach in contract but they say it is not. After they got all the money from the contract, they told me they would call and discuss the finding from the investigation. They didn’t call and I called a few days later and was told the investigation was not finished. I don’t understand, it is either finished or not. Well, I was told it was and when they didn’t call, the red representative said he had told me what I wanted to hear. Now, I found out that the IRS says I owe them $1500 and American tax defense said they would handle all the negotiations with the IRS for only $3500. Now I thought those places were supposed to save you money. How is $3500 less than $1500? Don’t agree to have them “help you”. They are nothing but scammers and all they do is promise positive results but will NOT put in writing and then say “we never said that”.
