About American Service Pets

American Service Pets is a U.S.-based telehealth platform that connects individuals seeking Emotional Support Animal (ESA) or Psychiatric Service Animal (PSA) documentation with Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LMHPs) for clinical evaluation. The company operates through a secure online platform designed to facilitate structured mental health assessments in accordance with applicable federal housing guidance and state licensure requirements. American Service Pets does not issue documentation directly; documentation is provided only by a Licensed Mental Health Professional when clinically appropriate. The process begins with the completion of a detailed online health questionnaire. This questionnaire is reviewed by a Licensed Mental Health Professional licensed in the individual’s state. When indicated, the LMHP may conduct additional telehealth communication to evaluate whether the individual meets clinical criteria for an Emotional Support Animal or Psychiatric Service Animal as part of a broader mental health treatment plan.Documentation is issued solely at the discretion of the evaluating provider and only when consistent with professional standards of care.ESA documentation may be used in housing-related contexts under the Fair Housing Act (FHA), subject to landlord review and applicable guidelines. Psychiatric Service Animals, when individually trained to perform disability-related tasks, may be afforded public access protections under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).American Service Pets provides educational resources to help individuals understand the distinctions between ESAs and PSAs, as well as the limits of federal and state protections. ESA is helping me to keep my pets
ESA is helping me to keep my pets. I don’t usually talk about this, I keep it bottled inside. A couple of years ago, someone one broke in my house. When I arrived they were still there, robbed me and tried to rape me. So I got 2 dogs. One for security. She barks and let me know when someone is close to the door, that’s Sheila. And Porcha is my depression pet/ friend. She knows when something is wrong. She will come up to me, jump up beside me and lay her head in my lap. She even sleeps with me, cause my depression comes and goes. One reason I don’t watch the news. I hate hearing sad stories. We lay in bed and watch movies, something that I know isn’t real. So I thank you guys with all my heart, even though my landlord still wants me to get rid of one of my dogs anyway. I think the reason is so they can go in my place when I’m not home. Which really makes me paranoid. Thanks again ESA and the doctors with all my heart.
