The only required separate charge that you will see is the $25 non-refundable doctor's fee (for your evaluation services) which is explained on our website, with our agents, and during the order process. There is occasionally push-back or requests for additional documentation in an effort to circumvent a reasonable accommodation. While we make every effort to ensure a quick turn around (typically within 48 hours), there are a number of factors which come into play. One factor is your state's requirements. Unfortunately, some states require a 30-day patient-provider relationship before an ESA letter for housing can be issued. This information is clearly stated on our website and through our customer support team. We apologize if you were unaware of your state's regulations, however, this is not something that we have any control over. We do not make the laws, but we do have to abide by them. Any ESA/PSA company and/or licensed healthcare provider that you choose will have the same restrictions for residents of particular states. Additionally, yes, during the checkout process there are OPTIONAL add-on items (such as ID cards, vests, annual renewal, and a monthly training subscription). You do not have to choose these add-ons. Our doctors review every application thoroughly and base qualification off of specific mental health disability criteria. If you animal is trained to assist you during panic attacks, it may simply be that your dog is better suited for Psychiatric Service Animal qualification rather than Emotional Support Animal assistance. We are happy to look into this for you and get any discrepancy resolved! We certainly do not claim that you will receive a letter same day. That would not allow time for one of our licensed physician to evaluate your qualification(s). Our time frames are clearly listed on our website as well as through our customer care agents via phone. We do not have hidden costs. During the checkout process there are OPTIONAL add-on items (such as ID cards, vests, annual renewal, and a monthly training subscription). You do not have to choose these add-ons. As mentioned, they are optional. If you clicked any of them accidentally, we are always happy to help with that! We are also transparent about the $25 non-refundable doctor's fee, which is charged separately from your overall package and is agreed to when your application is submitted for review.
