ADV Albuquerque Treats Customers Unfairly!
ADV Albuquerque treats customers unfairly! When we dropped off the - entirely undamaged - RV unit, we were informed that a "hubcap was missing." Upon inquiring further, we were told that "one hubcap was missing when we picked up the vehicle, and two hubcaps were missing when we returned the vehicle." It seems that ADV is incapable of properly installing hubcaps. One of the forms we were presented at time of RV return includes the following statement: "It is understood that you will not be held responsible for loss or damage to vehicle or articles left in vehicle in case of fire, theft, or any other causes beyond your control." Apparently, (another) hubcap coming off while one is driving down a freeway is considered to be "in one's control." Bunk. In addition to charging for the hubcap, ADV is charging for 15 minutes' labor to install the hubcap. Really? In addition to being (unreasonably) charged for ADV's failure to properly install hubcap(s), and for labor to replace the item lost due to their failure, ADV has failed to return my $500 deposit (or whatever portion of that I'll get back after this fleecing) within the 10-day timeline per their agreements. Today is the 14th day since we returned the (entirely undamaged) RV, and I've STILL not received refund of any portion of my deposit. In the course of my discussion with ADV's representative, I asked "if the bumper fell off while I was driving down the road, would you hold me responsible for that?" The answer: "Yes." And that, of course, is preposterous....particularly if ADV has a history of improperly installing bumpers, as appears to be the case with their installation of hubcaps. It occurred to me to check whether other ADV locations were better run. Yep. Consider: Customer Review data (ratings from 1 Star (WORST) to 5 Star (BEST): ADV San Antonio: 172 reviews, of which 13, or less than 8%, are “Worst” score. ADV Albuquerque: 44 reviews, of which 19, or over 43%, are “Worst” score. I most strongly suggest you take your business elsewhere.

Mr. Guerrero, I realize that being charged for damaged or missing items can be disappointing. There are many checks and balances in place to prevent discrepancies beginning with a thorough video damage inspection of which all customers are encouraged to participate in. I can assure you that our interest is in earning and keeping customers for repeat business as opposed to "nickle and diming" them via unfair business practice. All of our vehicles are individually owned and we must uphold our responsibilities to them to charge for any missing or damaged items. I realize scenarios exist that could be out of your immediate control but unfortunately don't remove responsibility or liability. While we do no believe the missing wheel cover was something that was lost intentionally, these can fall off when clipping curbs, driving in rough terrain, etc. The cost for replacement and installation was $121.51 which in the industry is by no means unfair. All deposits are refunded within 10 business days, which equates to approximately 14 regular days unless pending damage. Today is the 10th business day from your return. We will process the remaining deposit as soon as possible, only withholding the additional mileage and the fair replacement cost.
