I ordered a camera for black friday (11/27) and so far (12/9) cant get the status (NOT THE CAMERA, JUST STATUS) of the order. Online just shows 'Preparation in progress' from day one. I tried to calling them at different times, waiting for 2 mins, 5 mins, 15 mins, 35 mins and gave up every time. I finally decided to stay on the call and cancel the order today, stayed for 2 hrs, and spoke to a representative. As soon as I said, "I placed an order and need status", the rep hang up. The problem is, online doesn't allow you to cancel the order and I cant do it over the phone. I am going to call my bank and see whether I can put a block on this charge. I can buy it some where else.

Don't do any business with them. After I placed an order 2 months ago, I never received the item. Their service number generally has 30 minutes wait. Their representatives have very bad attitude toward customers.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SELLER!! This is one of those online retailers that are closed Friday afternoon and Saturday. They offer prices lower than anyone else but don’t have the item in stock. They will take your order and not tell you that the item is backordered and has been for weeks or months. If you call they will try to string you along saying that it will be in next week or try and sell you something else. Weeks later they will send you an email saying that unfortunately they ran out of stock just before your order was about to be shipped when in fact they didn’t have the item in stock for weeks before they received your order. The bottom line is it’s not a great deal if you don’t receive the item.

I ordered a T5i bundle with 18-55mm lens and 55-250mm lens, battery, filters, etc. First, the order didn't go through, according to americacameras.com as they called me to verify the purchase. When I verified, I was asked if I wanted a 1 hour battery or 5 hour battery, and told the battery was not included. The battery and many more items were shown in the picture advertised for the product I purchased. I said if the camera bundle doesn't come with a battery, that is bait and switch, and I will cancel the whole order if that is the case. The man said he would cancel my order, and he put me on hold, then he hung up on me. As a result, I have missed the Black Friday and Cyber Monday opportunities to get a deal on the camera bundle.

Initially it was the great price that attracted me, I called to make sure the price was true. I wouldn't exactly say Rude but the salesperson I spoke with was certainly non professional and displayed a non caring, indifferent attitude. When I asked about why the enormous price discrepancy he got frustrated, he sighed often and seemed to be having a conversation with someone else there, I felt not very important or valued. He attempted to sell me a (US) model that had a battery and charger for twice as much. I certainly wouldn't give them my business. DO yourself a favor and call them first and feel out the situation yourself.

I made the order and tried to cancel the order because I suspected that this store sells refurbished product without mention. I could not reach the customer service. I tried to talk to sales line and the person either hang up on me or put me in music. I have no choice but canceled my credit card. Do not use this website !!! Unless you want to buy refurbished items and no return, you may try the luck.

The positive reviewers must be fake. I looked for reviews for America Camera (AC) and found a couple positive reviews. They listed a camera that was much less than the competition - so I bought it in mid September 2014. Bank was charged that night under a different company "Primotronix". The next morning, since and I never received a confirmation note after my purchase, I was about to dial the number on the bank charge and the phone rang with a person from AC trying to upsale me from a Japanese camera to an American one. Most good cameras are imports anyhow so I didn't go for it. After 21 calendar days and several phone calls with no answer I finally reached someone who said "your shipment was lost so we are refunding your money". That was over 45 days ago now and I still have no resolution. Contacted the BBB and they say this company uses three different names. I only want one of them to refund my money or deliver the camera that I paid for... DO NOT THINK ABOUT PURCHASING FROM THEM - RUN AWAY FAST AND RUN AWAY NOW !!!

This was the worst business interaction I have ever experienced. After placing my order for a camera and extended warranty from americacameras.com., I did not receive confirmation and was contacted by a representative the following day to verify my order. He informed me that the camera I was purchasing was the lower quality international model, which was not listed anywhere on the site. I told him I wanted the better quality US model as well as the extended warranty. The US model was not listed on the site. We finalized the order of the US model and warranty after he attempted to upsell memory cards, batteries, etc., which I had stated multiple times that I did not need. After 24 hours I had still not received order confirmation and called the same number and extension to make sure the order was processed. The same guy answered and defensively said he would send it but that he wasn't the person I had talked to the previous day. I finally received a crude invoice without the warranty the next day. I then called the same extension, was again told I had spoken to someone else, to ask about the warranty and was informed that warranty info would be sent separately. After two days I still hadn't received shipping confirmation so I called again. I was transferred by the same guy to the shipping department and after asking if shipping could be expedited or if I could get some sort of refund for shipping, I was hung up on. I called back within minutes and the shipping guy told me I must have talked to someone else and said that shipping info would be sent out that day. I told him I wanted to cancel my order and he began pushing buttons on his phone every time I tried to ask a questions about confirming my cancellation. He said I must have been pushing buttons and yelled into the phone that my order was cancelled. I still have not received cancellation info and two charges totaling $2400 remain on my card. My order status was never updated on their site and I had to call my bank. I am truly dumbfounded! PLEASE TAKE TIME TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB IF YOU HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THEM!!!
