I placed an order for overnight delivery on Sunday. Starting receiving emails asking to verify the order for faster delivery on Monday. I called and was placed on hold indefinitely. I emailed and received another canned response saying to call back. I called back and was again placed on hold indefinitely. I then emailed again explaining the situation, and received a another canned response saying to call back. I'm sure you can guess what happened next - called again with no person answering. This is a rush overnight order, it is now four days into with zero communication.

Ordered Canon EOS Rebel with lens at same holiday price as Kmart (which was out of stock there). Got pushy calls and emails trying to sell unneeded charger and added cost battery and claims of 6 week international shipping unless expedited (versus 4 days as their phony review postings claim). Beware apparent Brooklyn storefront with Indianapolis telephone and London business address. See resellerratings.com/store/AmericaCameras for more such reviews.

Would warn against using this company. They are very pushy on selling you add-on items that you don't need. Also, they seem to be a front company for their business operations which are located in the United Kingdom.

do not order anything from this company I tried to order my daughters Christmas present paid $320. Plus paid $50 for it to get here on time. It never got here so I called to see why it didn't get here and the guy told me I wasn't smart enough to understand why it didn't get here being that it came from overseas..... Then he hung up on me. I had to call back to cancel my order and make sure they didn't try to pull any money out of my out of my account and he said there was no guarantee that there wasn't going to be charges. I then asked his name he told me his name was Julius Cameras which obviously its not a real name. I'm completely disgusted with this company wouldn't do business with them if they were the last place on earth!!!!!

After you place an order, you'll get a call in which they try to upsell you (either a lie that the camera doesn't include a battery, or something else). I've come to expect this from discount online retailers, but usually after saying I don't want to be upsold, they ship the product. Not this company. For nearly a month, I've been promised a shipping confirmation within a few days every time I call (which also entails 10-30 minutes on hold). The date arrives, no confirmation, it's a new excuse. Avoid these liars.

I purchased a camera from them and 6 weeks later I have yet to receive it. They just keep saying that it is on its way and every time give me a new day that it will be arriving. I'm kind of upset with myself for not having picked up on the signs that this might not be the most forthright company from the start. After you order you get an email saying that you should call them to expedite the delivery of your purchase... this is 2014, why do I need to call you? When you call, they try to upsell you (which many others have documented here as well). Also, they don't ask for an order number or who you are. They ask for your zip code, which seems less than safe if someone was trying to pretend to be you. I've requested a refund which they said would take 7 days. I called back after 7 days and they said that it has been processed. It has now been 9 days since I asked for the refund, they said that the refund has been provided but I still don't see it on my credit card statement. I wish I'd done my homework more with this company. There are all sorts of bad reviews on the internet (this site included) and I'm beginning to doubt if I'll ever get the camera or the refund.

Avoid this company. I ordered a new camera on Black Friday, only to have the store owner call me to verify my purchase. After confirming that I had purchased the camera, he proceeded to tell me that it's the "camera only" - "no charger, no battery, no accessories" then proceeded to try to upsell me on the "accessory pack" that was "required" when buying this camera. The website STILL lists the camera as new with no mention that it's used, removed from the box, and ships without the parts required to make it work. Also, the owner of the website reports every negative review as missing proof of purchase to try to get it removed from the review sites, abusing the system in the process.

This company is either completely incompetent or a total fraud. They jerked me around for more than two months. I bought a camera and a macro lens. The camera came within a week, but the lens was continually backordered. Finally they said they couldn't supply the lens (after two months). To get my refund, I had to return the camera as well because they were bought as a package. They said they would send a new camera overnight. They didn't. Then they said in four days. It didn't come. Today I called and they said the camera was sold out, so the order was cancelled and my money refunded. I have not received a refund either for the lens or for the entire order. These people suck! Stay away! I got the lens they couldn't supply in 60 days from 42nd St. Camera in three days. Just ordered the camera from them, too. Avoid America Cameras like the plague. We'll see if I get my refund. If not, I'm out almost $1200.
