AMB was the carrier involved in our interstate move, and our belongings were mixed with another customer’s shipment. We received property that did not belong to us, while many of our own belongings remained missing. We repeatedly contacted AMB and the other companies involved asking for help locating our property, separating the mixed shipments, and returning everyone’s belongings to the correct owner. Instead, we were passed back and forth between companies without a meaningful resolution. We have photographic evidence showing the mixed shipment, including different lot tags and property belonging to another customer. We also have documentation showing that AMB was the carrier handling the claims process. This is not simply a damaged-item claim. It is a serious problem involving the tracking, custody, and return of household goods. We are still asking AMB to locate our missing belongings, provide a clear written explanation of where our property is, and coordinate the immediate return of our items while retrieving the other customer’s property that was delivered to us. Based on our experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering AMB Moving & Storage for an interstate move.
