Ambetter health is the worse I have ever worked with. Poor customer service. Deny everything. Do not get health insurance thru ambetter. You will regret it.

I have now spent 14 hours and 25 calls trying to get a relatively simple problem resolved with Ambetter. I had no issues with them last year - I thought they were good. But I have a policy/billing issue with them now - WHICH IS ENTIRELY THEIR FAULT - and can't get it resolved. There are too many departments who don't talk to each other - and no way to get a manager assigned - you have to call into the helpline and start over every time. SOOOO FRUSTRATING. Take your business elsewhere - not worth it.

Ambetter decided not to cover my Coronavirus testing, despite federal law requiring all testing be covered by insurance. When I called to understand why, they asked for all of my details, twice, and then declined to comment on why the tests weren't covered. Avoid these people like the plague. Go anywhere else.

Very high premiums and deductibles, horrible Customer service. I signed up for a health plan through AmBetter because I thought I was losing my free insurance from the state. The next day I found out I still had my previous insurance, so I called AmBetter to cancel my policy I had paid for the PREVIOUS day. Was on and off the phone for several hours before being escalated to another representative who quickly offered a refund and said it would take 7-15 business days for me to receive said refund. That was a month and a half ago, no refund. Apparently policy at this company is that lying is acceptable when it comes to payments. This is a bad insurance company.

Super expensive premiums, insanely high deductible. It cost me more to have this insurance when I had to have a procedure done. Then it got cancelled without notice or reason and the agent couldn't figure out why that happened or how to fix it. This is not healthcare, this is a scam.
