I recently retired and knew that I would need an "Obama Plan" until I turned 65, so unfortunately I get stuck. I signed up with my advisor, in early February and I received a bill for my first month premium for March, yet I haven't received my card or welcome packet with benefits, etc. I went on the website to pay my bill, yet I wasn't able to, because they couldn't find me in their system. It's real interesting that I'm looking at the bill and payment coupon and my Member ID number, yet I couldn't pay online after 12 attempts using my Member ID and SS #. I knew this would be an outright fiasco, since it's a government insurance! As of 3/16/23, I still don't have my insurance card or welcome packet! I'm a RN and used to dealing with these plans all the time. I'm still working 1 day per week and certainly wasn't going to take COBRA on that insurance. I have an extremely high deductible ($8500) per year, which in my opinion is reprehensible! I pray that I do not get sick or need any hospitalization or surgery before I turn 65 next year! These plans are a real joke!

i was contacted by them and the agent said she would send me info because i was skeptical of anyone giving me a free policy .. she said she would . a month later i recieved a bill for $0.00 and made me even more skeptical. i have recieved 20 calls a week since november 2022, today i got a call asking me for my birth certificate and drivers license or they would cancel my policy (the one i never signed up for). i told her cancel it and remove me from your list .. she said she would and then transferred me to a place called insurance market place/ obama care ... which didnt come up on a google search but that agent also said i would be canceled . it is absolutely ridiculous that a company can sign you up for healthcare without a signature or anything to verify who i am. this company is a scam and from the reviews i now see i hope this is the last i hear from them

Anyone who has health care with Ambetter knows it is almost impossible to communicate with people who speak very broken English. I was not notified that Ambetter wouldn't pay for my blood pressure medicine after January 1, 2023. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE! The only reason I use them is because I need health insurance until I turn 65 in 5 months. Please, if you are shopping for health coverage- AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

Call center is in India and they do not have access to any information. Constantly get disconnected and never call you back. How convenient? Received a bill from Quest for $750 for bloodwork where I was directed to go and they now say that they are not responsible. don't waste your time or money with Am Better.

Trash! Customer services are terrible. No one have trainning in HC , And barely English spoken. They said they don't have the manager there.

I've never had worse customer service in my life. Hours on the phone for a simple problem - people have no idea how to help. Do they get ANY training?

They take FOREVER to apply your payment to your account. I had to pay for my prescriptions out of pocket because they wouldn't update my account to show that I paid my premiums! UPDATE: They STILL haven't processed my payment. My husband is a heart patient, and they won't update our account to show that we paid them. I've even given them confirmation numbers to no avail.

Truly the most evil insurance company in existence. You've been warned.
